Jim Carrey’s Ex-Girlfriend Cathriona White Left Heartbreaking Suicide Note For Actor Before Death

Almost a year after her death, new details have emerged on the suicide of Jim Carrey’s ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White.

White, 31, was found dead in her rented Los Angeles apartment on September 28 last year. The beautician and makeup artist reportedly split with actor Jim Carrey days before her death. A recently released autopsy report on White revealed that she died of multiple drug overdose.

Cathriona White left a heartbreaking note for Jim Carrey before she killed herself, writing, “I’m not for this world.”

“I’ve spent 3 days now in disbelief that you’re not here.

I can go on brokenhearted and try to put the pieces back. I could, I just don’t have the will this time.

I’m sorry you felt I wasn’t there for you. I tried to give you my best part.”

In the note, Cathriona also left funeral plans up to Carrey, explaining that he’s all the family she had left.

“I don’t really know about burial or that sort of thing. You are my family so whatever you choose will be fine.”

White then asked the The Mask actor to forgive her and followed it up with a cryptic message, writing.

“Please forgive me. I’m just not for this world.”

Before her death, Cathriona took to Twitter to publish her last tweet, writing, “Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.’

White also took to Instagram to quote Irish poet W.B. Yeats: “Faeries, come take me out of this dull world.”

According to the autopsy report, Cathriona White had told friends prior to her death that she was “madly in love with Jim and that their relationship was a rollercoaster… that she tied her identity to his and that she felt he (Carrey) was slipping away from her,” as previously reported by Mirror.

The report also reveals White’s previous marriage to Mark Burton, who said that his former wife suffered depressive episodes and talked about suicide on numerous occasions.

White’s friends — Dennis Bradshaw, along with his wife Lena and Jim Carrey’s assistant Nicole Montez — reportedly became concerned when they hadn’t heard from the makeup artist for days.

After failing to gain entry through the locked front door of her Sherman Oaks apartment, they broke in through a side entrance and then found Cathriona dead in bed. Dressed in a Tshirt and underwear, White was surrounded by prescription bottles, suggesting that she committed suicide via drug overdose. The suicide note addressed to Jim Carrey was found on the dining room table.

While the report says that Cathriona had no known mental issues in the US, it states that her friends revealed that she tried to commit suicide two years ago after a previous relationship had ended.

The toxicology report from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office rules White’s death an act of suicide by way of multiple drug overdose. The prescription drugs found in her system include zofran, propranol, percocet and ambien.

Investigator Kelli Blanchard confirmed in the autopsy report that Cathriona’s body suffered no physical trauma and injuries and thus foul play was ruled out.

As previoously reported by People, the police found a text message from Jim Carrey on her phone, asking if she “knew where his painkillers went from under his sink.” According to the toxicology report, “it appears likely that the bottles for ‘Arthur King’ found on her beside table were the prescriptions [Carrey] was referring to.” Other prescription bottles prescribed to White were found on her bed table.

After her death, Jim Carrey, 53, posted an emotional tribute to Cathriona, writing: “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona.” Carrey added, “She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled.”

Jim Carrey and Cathriona White met on a film set in 2012, and had been dating on and off since then.
