‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Premiere Synopsis Leaked? (Rumor)

The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere will not air on AMC until this fall. Everyone is anxious to find out what will happen with Rick Grimes, Negan, and the rest of the characters. One website claims that the synopsis for Episode 1 has already been released. Is this the real deal or is it too early for the synopsis to be accurate?

Warning: This is a TWD rumor and not a spoiler. Take this information with a grain of salt.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, spoilers for The Walking Dead are not as plentiful as they used to be. The creator, producers, writers, cast, and crew are trying their best to keep a lid on major plot points. However, despite their best efforts, sometimes TWD spoilers are leaked.

According to Movie News Guide, the synopsis for The Walking Dead Season 7, Episode 1 has been released. The website found the information on IMDB. While the movie and television database is a great source for information, it is user submitted. This means that nearly anyone can type up details that may not be entirely accurate. This isn’t to say that the information is false, just that TWD fans need to take these “spoilers” lightly.

So, what is the alleged synopsis for The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere?

“Rick and the group discover that the Saviors are a larger threat than any of them could have imagined,” The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere synopsis reads on IMDB. “Coping with the loss of a fellow group member, some of our survivors try to accept the new life under Negan’s rule while others don’t agree so much.”

It should be noted that there was a spelling error in the synopsis. While that sometimes happens, it isn’t often that a network will let a press release through without errors being corrected. Also, the person who submitted the information entered a premiere date of October 9, 2016. Although this was reported by several websites previously, AMC has not announced the Season 7 premiere date yet. The last press release for The Walking Dead was dated April 2016, according to AMC’s press department.

Does this mean that the synopsis for The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere is wrong? It might, but the information could also be correct, or it may only be partially accurate. Last season, many outlets reported the synopsis and title for the Season 6 finale. However, the title was wrong and the synopsis was only partially correct. The information was taken from Robert Kirkman’s comic books, it seems. There was no way for those sources to predict that some details would be changed for the television show.

To get an idea if The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere synopsis could be correct, a quick check on The Spoiling Dead Fans and Spoiler TV was done. Besides AMC and exclusive interviews, these two sources tend to be the most accurate when reporting spoilers. Neither has posted the information, at least not yet.

So far, what is known about The Walking Dead Season 7 is that fans will finally find out who Negan killed. Viewers will also see both sides of the story, not just Rick’s point of view. There are some fans who have read the comic books that say Negan was justified. Speaking to Variety, Jeffrey Dean Morgan teased that Rick is getting off easy. Rick’s group killed several of the Saviors while they were sleeping. Negan is only killing one member of Rick’s group.

Do you think The Walking Dead Season 7, Episode 1 synopsis is accurate? Or is it too early for it to be released? What do you think will happen with Rick, Negan, and the rest of the TWD characters?
