Norman Reedus And Melissa McBride Pose For ‘Grave’ Photo — ‘TWD’ Fans Speculate On What It Means [Spoilers]

Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride are two of the most talked about characters of AMC’s hit zombie series, The Walking Dead. Season 7 is currently filming and TWD fans are anxious to find out what is going to happen when the show returns. The creator, producers, cast, and crew are trying to keep a tight lid on spoilers, but that doesn’t stop viewers from speculating on what the future may hold for Daryl Dixon, Carol Peletier, and the other characters. Recently, Reedus posted a photo of himself posing with McBride and there are theories that the “grave” photo may mean something important.

Warning: Possible spoilers and theories for The Walking Dead Season 7 may follow.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the cast is currently filming Season 7 of TWD. There will be new characters and a new community of zombie apocalypse survivors when the show returns to AMC this fall. The most debated topic is who Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed in the Season 6 finale.

Recently, Norman Reedus posted a photo to Instagram of himself and Melissa McBride. The Walking Dead stars were posing sitting behind an open grave. The two TWD cast members had shovels behind them.

Norman Reedus often uploads photos to social media sites like Twitter and Instagram. However, he rarely shares any pictures from the set, especially while the show is on break. Needless to say, this was a special treat for TWD fans, but many are wondering if the photo is a clue.

According to International Business Times, there are fans speculating that the photo means Norman and Melissa survived Negan‘s barbed wire baseball bat, Lucille. However, the writer had a keen eye and the setting seemed familiar.

“… it looks as if the shot was taken during filming for Episode 14 of Season 6, titled ‘Twice As Far,'” IBT noted regarding the photo of Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride. “The episode featured Denise’s (Merritt Wever) death at the hands of Dwight (Austin Amelio). Daryl took her death really hard, and it resulted in him later getting captured by the Saviors. A clip from the installment shows Carol wearing the same outfit from the photo, although Daryl’s wearing more layers.”

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reedus said that he does not like spoilers. In fact, Norman has made this statement several times. The actor doesn’t understand why fans would want to know what happens before seeing the show. However, viewers are not asking for a play-by-play. Small spoilers can actually build anticipation and excitement and don’t necessarily mean major plot points are revealed. There is a big difference between sharing a hint of what is to come and posting the script on the internet.

Knowing that Reedus hates spoilers, fans can be assured that this photo is not from The Walking Dead Season 7. There is no way that Norman would give any information out about what is coming when TWD returns.

Even though the photo itself has nothing to do with Season 7, there are some small TWD spoilers available. Ezekiel and The Kingdom will be introduced next season and there will also be a pet tiger that likes to gnaw on walkers. From photos taken by fans near the filming location, Alexandria appears to get attacked. Also, expect a battle and the loss of many lives.

TV Line published casting news for the upcoming season. Expect to see two new characters in Season 7. Both parts have character descriptions, but it isn’t known exactly who they are or how they will be involved with The Walking Dead.

“Naomi is a grandmotherly type who, having lost so many loved ones, is now willing to do whatever it takes not to have to bury any more. (Maybe she’s being introduced to counsel Carol about the awful necessities of the post-apocalyptic world… ),” Ask Ausiello wrote. “On the flip side is Jennie, a sunny-side-up kinda teenager — oh, Caaarl! — who sounds a lot like Beth 2.0, ‘kind, with a world-weary toughness.'”
