‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ Star SAS Shot In The Head, Expected To Make Full Recovery

SAS from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta has shared some shocking news on Instagram. The rapper and reality TV star was shot in the head in Phoenix, Arizona on July 2 where he was scheduled to make an appearance.

According to XXL Mag, SAS is currently receiving treatment in the hospital after having been shot in the back of the head. SAS, whose real name is Lyndon Ahlik Smith, is expected to make a full recovery after this incident. Luckily, the bullet that is currently lodged in SAS’ head was unable to penetrate his skull, probably saving his life. According to reports, SAS is very lucky to have survived, and if the bullet had hit him just a little bit lower, he may not have made it.

SAS has been alert and has even kept his fans updated on his condition via Instagram. In the first picture, he posted, SAS can be seen sitting in a hospital bed, hooked up to an IV. The pillow behind his head is soiled with dried blood from the wound to his head. SAS captioned the photo, “Bullet in the bacc of my head they said Ima be aight tho #PRAY4ME#PRAISEBETOALLAH”

Soon after, SAS posted a video to Instagram where he talked about his gunshot wound. “The doctor just told me I got a bullet in the back of my head,” he said. “They said I got a thick skull. Y’all pray for me, though. I appreciate all the love and support. God got me. Allah got me. I ain’t tripping.”

It is unclear how or why SAS ended up with a bullet in the back of his head. Most of the day prior to the incident, Sas was posting pictures of his trip to Phoenix to host a Fourth of July weekend party. There is no current information available about who was shooting or why.

Is this SAS’ last chance to get some major airtime before Season 5 of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta ends? Filming just wrapped for the reunion show in New York City. It is already clear that Tommie Lee was not in attendance at the reunion show even though she played a large role on the LHHATL season. After first hinting that she wasn’t invited to the NYC reunion show taping, Mona Scott-Young made it clear that was certainly not the case. Instead, it turns out that Tommie had been ordered to stay in Atlanta due to her constant legal issues and wasn’t able to travel out of state.

Word is, no one from the new crop of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta stars will be featured on the reunion show. Karen King, who is SAS’ mother, has also been dealing with some serious legal issues after she was recently arrested on charges of fraud and forgery. Karen stands accused of stealing around $5k worth of merchandise from an Atlanta Saks Fifth Avenue after her alleged accomplice outed Karen in an identity theft scheme. SAS’ older brother Scapp DeLeon is currently serving five years at the maximum security Macon State Prison after he was convicted of drug trafficking earlier in the year.

SAS was reportedly also not in attendance at the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 5 reunion show taping after not receiving an invite. That may not stop cameras from rolling as SAS recovers in the hospital and beyond. That was the case when another LHHATL was shot near the end of a season. When Benzino was shot by his cousin while attending the funeral of his mother a couple of years back, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta was there to capture his moments in the hospital with Stevie J by his side.

The Inquisitr will continue to update this story as details of the shooting involving SAS are revealed. In the meantime, do you think Love & Hip Hop Atlanta should feature details of the rapper’s recovery before Season 5 ends?
