McKayla Maroney And Aly Raisman Injured During Tour Of Champions [Report]

Olympians McKayla Maroney and Aly Raisman were both injured while performing on the uneven bars during the Kellog’s Tour of Champions in Ontario, California this weekend.

The pair both took bad falls during the competition, reports People. Maroney, who won one gold and one silver medal at this summer’s London Olympics, fell during a dismount from the bars. She had to be carried out of the arena by medics and was taken to the hospital.

Raisman, who won two gold medals and one bronze in London, fell after failing to land a Shaposhnikova. The gold medalist in floor exercise fell to her stomach, hitting her knees on an area of the concrete floor not covered by a mat, but was able to walk out of the arena.

Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney were not present for the show’s finale in Ontario, a sign that both gymnasts were injured and unable to compete.

While a source has said that Raisman is fine and in San Diego, where the tour is scheduled to go next, Maroney is not so lucky, apparently in the hospital recovering from her injuries, according to WCVB.

Both of the Olympic champions took to Twitter about their injuries, saying:

While Aly Raisman appears to be able to continue the tour, there is no word on when, or if, McKayla Maroney will be able to return. Check out the video below to see the two falls that injured the Olymipans Maroney and Raisman:
