‘Days Of Our Lives’ Casting News: More Actors Out And Another On Temporary Leave [Spoilers]
Days Of Our Lives has been losing characters like crazy during the past few years. Some actors leave on their own while others are given the pink slip. Recently, viewers were in an uproar over some veteran fan favorites leaving the NBC soap opera. According to the latest news, more actors are leaving DOOL and one more will be on a temporary leave of absence. Keep reading to get all the details.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jen Lilley is leaving Days Of Our Lives. It turns out another soap opera actor will not be appearing on any more episodes. According to Jonathan McClendon’s Twitter account, don’t expect to see Chase Jennings anytime soon.

McClendon was one of the newer Days Of Our Lives actors. Several months ago, the kids in Salem were rapidly aged to teenagers. Jonathan was cast to play the only child of Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove). Once aged up, Chase turned from a sweet kid to a troubled teen. He thought he was in love with his stepsister, Ciara Brady (Vivian Jovanni), and sexually assaulted her. It was a disturbing storyline, but one that was important to bring awareness to rape.
Another Days Of Our Lives actor that won’t be seen for a while is Drake Hogestyn. He plays John Black on the NBC soap opera. According to Soap Central, the actor was at home when injured. Citing The Globe, the website reported that Hogestyn fell out of a tree in May and suffered internal bleeding.
John Black will be written off, but it is supposed to just be temporary. There is no word on how the writers plan to explain John’s absence from the fictional town of Salem. However, Days Of Our Lives is filmed several months in advance, so fans will still see John for a little while.

This is not the first time Drake had an incident outdoors. Nine years ago, Hogestyn was on a ladder outside his residence when a fan tried to perform an exorcism on the actor.
Right now on Days Of Our Lives, John is working on Janet’s case. She came to Salem because her brother, Clark, went missing. Janet is sure that Summer Townsend (Marie Wilson) is somehow involved. Due to Janet’s appearance, Summer’s secrets are starting to come out. More people are becoming aware that Summer used to be known as Cindy and was a con artist. It will only be a matter of time before everyone finds out Summer killed Clark.

However, DOOL spoilers for next week state that Summer will get on a plane with the bag of cash that was left for her. On the airplane, the cries of a baby are heard. It isn’t known how or why this is important, but it must be for it to be included in spoiler reports.
Spoilers for the week of July 4 also reveal that Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) memories of Aiden attacking her are too much. Nicole (Arianne Zucker) will question Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) about how close she really is with Deimos (Vincent Irizarry). Theresa tells Brady (Eric Martsolf) the truth about falling asleep outside with Tate, and Victor (John Aniston) happened to catch her in the act. Stefano’s spirit or ghost will tell Chad (Billy Flynn) that Abigail isn’t the best thing for baby Thomas. Also, Andre (Thaao Penghlis) gets an idea when reading an article about a downed plane.
