Ariel Winter has often made headlines with her frankness in dealing with her body image and the choices she makes in dealing with her own well-being. Specifically, she has been both praised and criticized for opting to undergo breast reduction surgery and for being open about it with her fans. Winter has even been criticized for wearing outfits that bare her scars, suggesting she should be ashamed for letting the public see them.

Ariel has never been one to shy away from her efforts to prove that there is beauty in her scars, which does as much for empowering her female fans as it has done for her own self image. Now, Self is reporting that Ms. Winter takes it a step further and shares her bath time with her fans.

In Dog Years, Ariel plays a beautiful, young goth girl, complete with septum piercing and a variety of temporary tattoos. Ms. Winter has also dyed her hair a deep shade of red for the role. The film casts her as Lil, a driver for an aged movie star, played by Burt Reynolds. The drama explores issue faced by the elderly, as one man comes to terms with the fact that his youth is behind him.

Ariel Winter Is Again Body Shamed For Wearing Another Revealing Outfit

"A special thank you as well to Sharon who is probably the biggest reason I was able to get through high school and accepted into college...you pushed me to always do my best and encouraged me...not to mention you were always there for my 1am freak outs about late projects :) Anddddd thank you SO MUCH to all of my amazing family members and friends that flew in to celebrate with us- you guys are the absolute best."

Almost as soon as Winter shared the picture with attached appreciation, haters were quick to call her out on various social media platforms, but Ariel wasn't about to be shamed, just because the outfit offended others. In fact, as Ariel responded to criticism over the dress, Ms. Winter purposely avoided offering even the most subtle apology to those who were offended.

"Dear sorry body-shamers, I looked HOT in that dress," Ms. Winter retorted to a Twitter critic. "And if you hate it, don't buy it. But please get a hobby. XOXO Ariel #EmbraceYourBody."

Ariel Winter also shared her thoughts on body shamers with her Instagram followers.

Dog Years is still in production, but is expected to hit theaters later this year.
