Obama In Denial Over Nicki Minaj’s Endorsement Of Mitt Romney

President Obama was devastated to learn that Nicki Minaj recently endorsed Mitt Romney in a new song. In fact, the president was in absolute denial.

Last week, Minaj seemingly threw her support behind GOP candidate Mitt Romney on Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4.

Minaj sings:

“I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney / You lazy b—-es is f—ing up the economy.”

But the president doesn’t believe that the lyrics were genuine. When asked about the song during an interview on Power 953 Orlando, Obama said that Minaj likes to play different characters while she raps and that he’s pretty sure that she was just joking. Obama said:

“I’m not sure that’s actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. She likes to play different characters.”

Minaj does have an alter-ego, Roman Zolanski, so speaking out of character isn’t out of character for the Starship rapper.

If Obama has lost the Minaj vote, he can at least rest easy knowing that hip-hop’s most influential rapper, Jay-Z, is a supporter.

What do you think of the Nicki Minaj controversy? Do you think the President knows a little too much about Minaj and her lyrics?

Here’s a portion of Obama’s interview with Power 953 Orlando.
