Jennifer Garner And Ben Affleck Back Together Rumors Explode After Misconstrued Story Is Published
Rumors that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are back together exploded on Thursday after a misconstrued story was published.
Radar Online interviewed Jennifer Garner’s father, whom they quoted as saying that his daughter and Affleck reconciled. The headline read, “Look of Love! Jen Can’t Hide Her Joy Over Big News With Ben.” The celebrity gossip site posted a photo of Garner smiling big as she walked through LAX on June 30 looking casual wearing blue jeans and a black long-sleeved sweater. She appeared happy, with Radar claiming it had to do with news that she called of the divorce from Affleck.
In one of the many pictures published on the site, a caption reads that Jennifer’s father, Bill Garner, is “awful proud” of his daughter for how she handled the split and the slow reconciliation with Ben. Another quote attached to a different photo of Garner at LAX read that Bill feels she and his other two daughters have their “heads screwed on pretty well.” He added that he and his wife “support” their daughters “100 percent.”
The context of Mr. Garner, including Jennifer’s sisters in his comments, had nothing to do with her marriage to Ben Affleck. This is something Gossip Cop singled out in its coverage of what actually happened. A related report by Radar titled, “Jen & Ben Back On For Good! Her Dad Reveals How She Won Him Back,” was debunked.
Turns out the whole story is bogus. According to Gossip Cop, it’s true that Radar interviewed Bill Garner, but its information was used deceptively as click bait. It wasn’t just off a little, it was plain misleading. It had nothing to do with Mr. Garner speaking with the outlet over the flooding in West Virginia. A few days ago it was reported that Jennifer and Ben rushed to help her parents after the devastation from flood damage.
When Mr. Garner was asked about whether his daughter’s divorce from Affleck was a reality, he didn’t answer.
“I would prefer not to comment on her plans. Any news will come from her and not from us,” Mr. Garner said.
Mr. Garner didn’t say anything of the kind about his daughter and Ben being “back on for good,” or divulge “how she won him back.”
Radar called up Mr. Garner to discuss the damaging floods in West Virginia, but in the end it was twisted.
A source close to the situation set the record straight by stating that Bill Garner “only spoke to them about the flood disaster.”

People magazine released a report about the fact it’s been exactly one year since Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck announced their split. The article focused on why the two still aren’t divorced. In large part, it has to do with their children — Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4.

“Ben still doesn’t want the divorce,” a source said, adding that Jennifer “doesn’t seem to mind at all that [the divorce] is not finalized,” but “she seems adamant about going through with it.”
As the magazine has featured in previous reports, sources say the two share their house in L.A. and continue family activities because they’re all about “putting the kids first.”
In a very recent interview with ET, a source said Jennifer and Ben are “making it work” in their marriage. They “haven’t officially filed paperwork for divorce,” but “don’t know if that will ever happen.”
Until Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck officially divorce, the headlines will continue speculating that the pair have gotten back together, or fabricated stories will keep being published that get corrected.
