Rita Ora Hospitalized For Exhaustion: Is Her Work Schedule To Blame?

Rita Ora was hospitalized for exhaustion on Wednesday, June 29, nearly freaking out fans. This comes after the news of Ora’s grueling schedule, which involved an early morning photo shoot in London.

The 25-year-old singer took to Snapchat to share a photo from her hospital room. In the photo, Ora is seen with an IV inserted in her arm. She also took to Twitter to vaguely describe her recent hospital trip and to thank her fans for their support.

“Today was pretty rough but I’m getting through it thank you to all of you for the support!” Ora tweeted. “I love you!! #exhaustionisreal.”

Later that night, it looked like Rita was fully recovered from her health scare. She took to Snapchat to share a sizzling photo of herself wearing nothing but black lingerie and the simple caption, “Goodnight guys.”

In addition to Ora’s grueling work schedule, she has been traveling to the U.K., where she resides and where she performed a sold-out show at Glastonbury Festival over the weekend. Despite her schedule, Ora looks forward to working on new music. British tabloids reported that Ora is working on her “psychedelic” album with Tame Impala.

She just scored a record deal with Atlantic Records UK, after she was in a legal dispute with her former label, Jay Z’s Roc Nation. Earlier this month, the label finally released Rita from her contract, allowing her to sign onto another label and release more music. She released her debut album, Ora, back in 2012.

“I’m so thankful to my new Atlantic Records family and First Access management for all their support and encouragement,” she wrote in the following Instagram post on June 20. “The next chapter is going to be incredible!”

Atlantic Records UK President Ben Cook said that he’s excited to have Rita on his record label. He released a statement to E! News about Ora’s big musical comeback.

“First and foremost she’s a great singer who’s hugely passionate about music, and I’m delighted to welcome her to Atlantic Records. We look forward to getting in the studio with her and making an incredible album.”

While Ora’s music career was on hold, she turned her attention to her blossoming acting career. She will reprise her role as Christian Grey’s little sister, Mia Grey, in the next two installments, Fifty Shades Darker (2017) and Fifty Shades Freed (2018). Ora has also starred alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams in the 2015 film, Southpaw.

But, sources claim that Rita Ora has been “partying too much,” which resulted in her recent hospital trip. Sources told the Mirror that Rita believes that she has more than enough energy to party and work. Shortly after Rita spent the weekend at Glastonbury, she was seen heading back to the recording studio on Wednesday, but then her body started to shut down on her and she was then admitted to the hospital.

“She’s completely exhausted, she hasn’t had a break in months. She has been working solidly for the past few months then she parties whenever she gets the chance. She works hard and plays hard.”

Ora has reportedly been flown to a secret European hotspot where she will get rest, as advised by her doctors. Her exhaustion also comes after burglar Charaf Elmoudden, 26, was jailed for five years for raiding her home in North West London. Rita went to the court hearing last week, when she told her side of the story.

“Over the past few months she has been flying back and forth between the 50 Shades Of Grey film set in Vancouver and a recording studio in LA. She then flew to UK for the trial and then went to Glastonbury. Most people have some time off after Glastonbury but she came back on Monday and shot a two-day ad campaign in London.”

Back in 2013, Ora collapsed on the set of a photo shoot in Miami, Florida, and was treated for “heat exhaustion and dehydration.” Hopefully, Ora will listen to her doctors and get some rest.
