Johnny Depp And Amber Heard Lose Weight, Look Drawn Amid Divorce War & Abuse Claims

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are showing signs that their ongoing divorce battle, which includes allegations that Depp abused Heard during their relationship, is taking its toll. Johnny dined with his children in Hollywood on Wednesday and appeared to have lost weight, looking drawn, according to the Daily Mail.

After dining with 17-year-old Lily-Rose and 14-year-old Jack on Wednesday, Depp exited Ago, an Italian restaurant. The actor, 53, recently spent time in the Bahamas prior to returning to California. The mother of his two children is Vanessa Paradis, an actress and model.

The divorce drama began when Amber alleged that Johnny was guilty of domestic abuse. Heard, 30, made her accusations soon after Depp’s mom, Betty Sue Palmer, died.

In addition to filing for divorce from Johnny, Amber requested and was granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband. Heard and Depp tied the knot in February 2015, and she now says that throughout their relationship, he was physically violent.

And while Johnny looked unusually thin, Amber also has lost a noticeable amount of weight since the relationship battle began.

To provide evidence of her accusations of domestic violence, Heard shared pictures showing bruises. The actress claims that the bruises were caused by Johnny throwing a cell phone at her just two days before she filed the divorce papers.

Giving “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce, Amber also alleged that Depp has “a history of drug and alcohol abuse.” Her court documents described the verbal and physical abuse that she reportedly suffered throughout their relationship. They were together for four years.

In agreeing to grant the temporary restraining order, Los Angeles Superior Court judge Carl Moor also stipulated that Depp must remain a minimum of 100 yards from Heard.

Amid the allegations of domestic abuse from Amber, Winona Ryder has stepped forward to describe her own experience. Working with him professionally as his co-star as well as dating him and even, at one time, engaged to him, Winona described Johnny as “never abusive.”

Ryder and Depp were together in the early 1990s.

“I can only speak from my own experience, which was wildly different than what is being said,” stated Winona. “I only know him as a really good, loving, caring guy who is very, very protective of the people that he loves.”

However, the actress also emphasized that she does not desire to term Amber as a “liar” while clarifying that she never saw that allegedly abusive aspect of Johnny.

“I’m not calling anyone a liar…It was a long time ago, but we were together for four years,” Ryder pointed out.

“Imagine if someone you dated… was accused of that. It’s just shocking.”

The next phase of the divorce battle will take place in Los Angeles Superior Court on August 15. Both Heard and Depp are scheduled to be present during that hearing. Although a status conference will occur prior to the mid-August hearing on August 2, neither Amber nor Johnny is expected to be present, according to a court spokesperson.

The ongoing stress from her divorce drama has caused Heard to lose 20 pounds, according to the Mirror.

Because Amber lost so much weight, the production crew for her new film, Justice League, are concerned that her slender body is not suited for the role. Consequently, although Heard had been scheduled to travel to London to be fitted for her wardrobe for the movie, the journey was canceled when producers expressed concern about her extreme weight loss.

The cancellation of that trip to London caused confusion about the legal aspect of her divorce. Initially, Heard’s lawyers contended that the London voyage meant she would not be available for a deposition, which the attorneys representing Depp had requested.

However, Amber was then seen in Los Angeles rather than the UK on the scheduled date. Consequently, Johnny’s side feels that they were misinformed by her attorneys, alleging that she fears making her allegations that he abused her when she is under oath and being cross-examined.

In response, the actress’ lawyers clarified that they did not have enough advance notification about the cancellation of the trip to London.
