Taylor Swift And Tom Hiddleston Still On Jet-Setting Romance As Media Ponder The Cost

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston continue to grab media attention as they go on with their whirlwind romance. And while the two are busy smooching, dining, or sightseeing, the major media outlets are busy, too. That is, with itemizing the cost of the fabled Swoki romance (i.e., Swift + Loki = love). The couple has been to Rhode Island, Nashville, England, and Rome on a jet plane.

But really, as far as the costs are concerned, there’s nothing to worry about. No taxpayer on the planet is on the hook for the cost of the Hiddleswift romance – except Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston, of course. And as everyone knows, Swift has deep pockets. Billboard estimates that Taylor Swift made a whopping $73.5 million last year, primarily from her album 1989 and the concert tour that followed.

And so, aside from running with her heart, Taylor is at the same using her head by taking a well-deserved vacation. What better company to have than her boyfriend Tom Hiddleston? Taylor Swift would not have been able to convince her ex Calvin Harris to back off from his busy music commitments when they were still on, anyway. So clearly, everything happens for a reason.

Now Taylor has someone to spend her vacation with. It’s awfully boring to spend one’s vacation on one’s own, and especially if it’s going to be a long one.

It was E-News that started doing some sort of financial accounting on the escapades of Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston who met and fell madly in love with each other just shortly after the former broke off on June 1 with Harris, her boyfriend for 15 months. It was the longest that Taylor has been in a relationship with any man.

Because of this, most observers thought that Taylor Swift had found true love at last. For some reason, the media had been unable to determine in advance that there was already some trouble brewing in paradise. And so when vivid pictures of Swiddleton surfaced on the Internet, many people around the world were taken by surprise.

When E-News totaled all the possible expenses that the Hiddleswift love affair would have incurred from Rhode Island all the way up to Rome, the figure that the source arrived at was $115,186. E! News also concludes that its tally thus far is a small price to pay for Taylor Swift, who will probably be footing most of the bill.

Apparently, the biggest chunk of the expenses has to do with jetting it from Nashville to England at a staggering cost of $85,110. People also did a by-the-numbers in its most recent treatment of the Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston romance — but with a twist.

$7,000: The average hourly cost of renting a 12-seater Gulfstream-V private jet,” writes People. Meanwhile, a night’s stay at the Nijinsky Suite of Hotel de Russie in Rome has been pegged at $18,900. Thanks to all these cost estimates, the seemingly endless Taylor Swift, and Tom Hiddleston romance is starting to rival a big budget movie like James Bond.

At this point in the movie franchise, the producers of the 007 series are yet to decide on who to pick as a replacement for Daniel Craig, who has resigned from doing any more James Bond flicks. So tongues are wagging if the Hiddleswift romance may have to do with creating publicity for the Tom Hiddleston candidacy.

In performing all this advanced anticipation, the media only hopes to not get caught flat-footed again with the news. After all, as Taylor Swift has so aptly demonstrated from Rhode Island to Rome, she does have the makings of the perfect Bond girl. Her beau Tom Hiddleston isn’t looking shabby either as a James Bond replacement. So here’s hoping that Barbara Broccoli is watching all this pageantry of passion and fashion in the news.
