Peta Murgatroyd Spills Pregnancy Details While Maksim Shares Sonogram Photo Of Baby Chmerkovskiy
There have been rumors floating around for weeks, but now Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy have finally made the official announcement that they are expecting their first child. They have kept their exciting news quiet for so long that now the dancing couple are both sharing some photos, and even a few tidbits, of their new little one that is expected to arrive in January.
Maks has posted their first sonogram photo of baby Chmerkovskiy on his Instagram and it is adorable. With parents as good looking as Maksim and Peta, this kid has got to be cute as a button. The soon-to-be daddy had this to say about his baby girl or boy.

Now that word is spreading of their baby news, Peta has been dishing a few details on her pregnancy. She is now in her second trimester, but you certainly can’t tell as she has quite a small baby bump as seen in the sweet snapshot of Maks either trying to plant a kiss on her growing belly or maybe talking to his child. You can tell just how excited they are.

The 29-year-old pro dancer told People that she didn’t want to spill the beans about her pregnancy to anyone while she was competing with partner Nyle DiMarco on Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars. However, Nyle soon figured it all out himself when Murgatroyd could barely get through their rehearsals. She admitted to having the usual nausea that comes along in the first trimester.
“I was so sick. Nyle would see me falling asleep on the couches and on the floor of the rehearsal studio. He’d look at me like, ‘What’s going on?’ And I’d go, ‘Oh, I’m just tired.'”
Nyle finally told her via a text message that he knew about the baby. In fact, Peta said that a couple of others on set noticed that her outfits were a little different as they were being made to try hiding it as much as she could at the time.
Before that, only their parents were in on the baby news. The parents of Peta Murgatroyd had apparently wanted her to have a baby for a while now and the wait is over for Maksim’s mom and dad as well. The expectant mom said that one other person has also been waiting for this baby.
“Maks has been wanting a baby for a long time. I can’t wait to be a mom!”
“The timing is perfect, actually. I’ll have the baby in January and then I’ll still have about six months to prepare for the wedding.”
Murgatroyd is the second pro dancer to have become pregnant in the middle of Dancing with the Stars. Allison Holker was the first pregnant dancer to compete. She had announced that she was expecting a baby with husband Stephen “tWitch” Boss during one of the live shows which took everyone by surprise. Who will be next to make a baby announcement? It seems that a trend may have been started.
As for Peta Murgatroyd, she is traveling with her fiancé and his brother, Val, as they are on the Maks and Val: Live On Tour doing their shows in front of enthusiastic audiences. The soon-to-be parents are extremely happy with their lives right now.

They do not know whether this baby is a boy or a girl, but Maks said that it would probably be a good thing if this little one is more like Peta than him. Another Maksim Chmerkovskiy running around may cause quite a ruckus.
