The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Camryn Grimes, the actress that portrays Mariah Copeland, could be leaving the CBS soap opera the next few months. It’s not a secret that Grimes hasn’t had a juicy storyline for quite some time. So, it wouldn’t surprise any Young and the Restless fans if she decided to part ways from the CBS daytime soap opera.
Soap Opera Digest reported on Tuesday that Camryn Grimes landed a prime-time role on TNT’s Animal Kingdom. She appeared on Tuesday night’s episode, and many fans stated she did a great job.
“It was an amazing script and I was really excited to be a part of it. It was definitely a daunting role but I was happy to take it on. And anything that Ellen Barkin is attached to, you know it’s got to be good.”
Ever since the Young and the Restless fans heard of Grimes’ latest prime-time adventure, the viewers have panicked at the thought that Mariah Copeland could be leaving Genoa City in the next couple months. Her character, Mariah, hasn’t had a good storyline in quite some time. The role isn’t going anywhere and seems to be a supporting role. Her only purpose seems to add to Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) storylines.
How long has it been since Camryn Grimes had an interesting storyline on the Young and the Restless? It’s been since 2013 when she arrived in Genoa City to haunt Sharon. She had her storyline as she discovered that she was a twin and stolen from her mother as a newborn. It was a great storyline but fizzled some time after the big reveal.
It wouldn’t surprise many people if she decided to leave the Young and the Restless. She rarely is on the show anymore other than to try to convince her mother, Sharon, to confess the truth to her husband, Dylan (Steve Burton). It seems to be an ongoing storyline, as two years ago she needed to badger her to tell Nick the truth about Summer’s (Hunter King) paternity test results.
The Young and the Restless spoilers don’t have Mariah listed too much in the upcoming weeks, according to Soap Central. It led to the Y&R fans panicking at the thought this talented actress could be leaving the soap opera world–for good.
The Young and the Restless viewers are hoping that she will decide to stick around for another few years, but it isn’t looking too hopeful. She has taken a few Lifetime Movie Network made-for-TV roles and expressed an interest in landing a series regular role on a primetime show. So far, TNT hasn’t disclosed whether they plan to use Camryn Grimes for any future episodes in the series.
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that a casting shakeup could be in the works, and Justin Hartley and Steven Burton could be on their way out on the CBS soap opera. The Y&R fans speculate that the actors that Jill Farren Phelps brought to the daytime drama could be on their way out as the showrunner was dethroned recently and replaced by Mal Young. There are rumors that Chuck Pratt, Jr. may receive his walking papers as soon as January when his contract is over.
The Young and the Restless fans, do you think Camryn Grimes is leaving the CBS soap Opera? Did you catch her appearance on TNT’s Animal Kingdom last night? Do you think that Chuck Pratt, Jr. could be fired in January?
