Taylor Swift’s Childhood BFF Abigail Anderson Engaged — Will The Singer Find Her Own Happy Ending?

Taylor Swift’s childhood best friend Abigail Anderson is officially engaged to her boyfriend, Matt Lucier. She announced the exciting news with an Instagram photo of herself kissing her fiancé on Tuesday, June 28.

“Tonight I answered the easiest question I’ve ever been asked,” Anderson wrote in the caption. “Without any doubt and any fear — I am so exited for this next chapter in our lives…. Thank you to my family & all of my friends that went the extra mile to make sure this night was everything I’ve ever imagined. #HePutARingOnIt.”

Shortly after she posted the photo on Instagram, Abigail shared the news on her Snapchat account. This time around, she posted a photo of herself flashing the engagement ring that he gave her.

Abigail Anderson was the inspiration behind Taylor Swift’s 2009 single “Fifteen,” which talks about the girls’ freshman year of high school, where they both experienced their first heartbreak at the same time.

Anderson was last seen with Swift, 26, and her new boyfriend, Tom Hiddleston, 35, at Selena Gomez’s concert in Nashville last week. She also shared some support for Swift after the news broke that she had split from DJ Calvin Harris.

“There are a few things more significant or valuable than a friendship that will withstand the test of time,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for getting me. Always. @taylorswift.”

Now, it looks like Taylor Swift has become the center of engagement rumors once again. This comes shortly after the news that Taylor and Tom meet each other’s families over the weekend before they carried on with their whirlwind romance.

Fans have been wondering why Swift and Hiddleston have been moving so fast with their new relationship, especially since they’ve been only dating for two weeks. Instead of taking the time to get to know each other better, they have been spending every waking day with each other, meeting each other’s parents, and traveling the world together. The new couple went on Swift’s private jet to Rome and checked into a penthouse suite at one of Rome’s five-star hotels.

Taylor and Tom were seen holding hands in the romantic city as they went sightseeing at the Coliseum and the Ruins. Then, the hot new couple had an intimate dinner at a restaurant before heading back to their hotel for some alone time away from the paparazzi and fans.

Sources told Us Weekly that Swift is living it up right now because she feels like she’s the star of her own romantic comedy. Unfortunately, most people on social media have been laughing at the expense of Swift’s newfound romance.

“Taylor is so happy,” the source told the outlet. “She’s living a British rom-com dream.”

Meanwhile, another source told E! News that Swift is already falling in love with the Night Manager star. Swift has more than likely told her squad members and her BFF, Anderson, that she’s serious about him.

“She texted her close friends and said, ‘I think I am in love and I never felt this before!'” the source added.

Strangely enough, Taylor looked smitten with Calvin Harris when she watched him headline Coachella just a few months ago. And she’s been in love with plenty of famous men, including Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, and Joe Jonas, just to name a few. To some, it looks like Taylor is living out her “Blank Space” music video.

She was also the center of engagement rumors when she was in her 15-month relationship with Harris. Prior to their split on June 1, it was reported that Swift was pushing Harris to marry her and he was spotted shopping for rings before it all came crashing down for the A-list couple.

An alleged source close to Calvin told Page Six that it was Taylor — not Calvin — who called it quits because she was too busy to focus on a relationship due to her career. Obviously, that’s not the case any longer since Taylor has put her career on hold to spend more time with Tom and to help him become the next James Bond.

But, it’s not unlike Swift to get bitten by the love bug or the marriage bug. Shortly after she confirmed her split from Harris, she was spotted at a fan’s wedding, as seen on her Instagram. Swift was also the maid of honor at her BFF Brittany Mack’s wedding back in February of this year, where she gave an epic speech, according to Brides.com.
