Anne Hathaway And Husband Laugh About ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Drama

Anne Hathaway and her husband, Adam Shulman, are lying low after welcoming their first son. Since the actress won her Academy Award a few years back, it looks like she is not in a hurry to get in front of the camera, especially with a newborn in her arms.

This also means that they are choosing not to address the gossip that is coming out of the Devil Wears Prada 10-year anniversary celebration. Although it was a movie that put Anne Hathaway on the map in regards to more mature storytelling, it looks like she is happy enough to be spending time with her husband.

“In many ways they are the perfect pair,” reports the Daily Mail. “And it seems Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman decided to underline the point by wearing complementing sunglasses when they stepped out in Los Angeles on Monday. The dynamic duo, who had left their adorable baby boy Jonathan at home, looked like they were having a great time as they stretched their legs together.”

A week ago, the pair was in New York, taking in the sights and sounds before the city got too hot.

Anne Hathaway is doing her best to not attract too much attention to her as she now has to think about her baby, Jonathan, as much as she thinks about herself. But with The Devil Wears Prada kicking up a storm with its delayed casting gossip, it looks like it’s unavoidable for her to get involved in the media storm.

The press even retrieved something that Anne said a while back about the time when she realized she landed the main role.

“I was putting on a shirt and I had some buddies over,” she said according to the Express. “I remember running out in my living room, half dressed, screaming. ‘I got The Devil Wears Prada, I got The Devil Wears Prada.'”

There were also other tidbits that were released in celebration of the 10th anniversary of The Devil Wears Prada. Possibly the most shocking news was that Meryl Streep almost didn’t take part in the film as the infamous Miranda Priestly.

“The actress liked the script but was not happy with the terms of the contract and felt almost ‘insulted,'” according to the Express. “[Meryl said] ‘The offer was to my mind slightly, if not insulting, not perhaps reflective of my actual value to the project. There was my ‘goodbye moment,’ and then they doubled the offer. I was 55, and I had just learned, at a very late date, how to deal on my own behalf.'”

Whatever is going on with the rest of the Devil Wears Prada cast, Anne Hathaway is happily adjusting to motherhood. Like other celebrity mothers, she has steered clear of posting about her baby on her social media accounts, but she has been very active in expressing that she is in a good place.

She welcomed her first child with husband Adam Shulman in late March,” reported the Daily Mail. “And on Thursday Anne Hathaway showed off her svelte post-baby figure as she was spotted out with her family in Santa Monica, California. The 33-year-old donned a trendy jumpsuit as she walked beside husband Adam, 35, who carried two-month-old Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman in a dark blue baby wrap.”

Even just after giving birth, she looked as incredible as she did before her pregnancy.
