Newlywed And Dead: Lifetime Movie — Our Synopsis

Kristin is on cloud nine after meeting the handsome Jay Morgan, the owner of the Paradise Mountain Lodge — an upscale ski resort in town. After a very short courtship, Jay asks Kristin to marry him, and the couple has a beautiful wedding to finalize their undying love for each other. Although her friends and family members want to be supportive, they can’t help but wonder why Kristin decided to marry Jay so fast without knowing very much about him. Kristin tries to ease their concerns by letting them know that she knows everything she needs to about Jay.

This line of thinking appears to be true until she settles into married life with Jay and finds out that he is completely different than what she believed about him. Jay turns out to be a controlling, angry, and aggressive husband who demands that she is a “good wife” who knows how to play her role.

Kristin soon learns from Jay’s aunt that she is the spitting image of Jay’s dead mother who died mysteriously when he was just a child. Now, she realizes that she is just a fill in and that Jay doesn’t really love her.

Curious about his past, Kristin starts to do her own investigating, where she finds out that Jay’s previous fiancee, Ashley, was seriously injured in a ski accident. Then, when his aunt and rival is found murdered, Kristin is convinced that Jay is the killer and may be responsible for the death of his own mother, making her fearful that she might be his next unfortunate victim. Will Kristin be able to get out of this alive or will she end up newly wed — and dead.
