Gwen Stefani Doesn’t Trust Blake Shelton? Singer Wants Him To Join Her On Tour
Gwen Stefani has been dating Blake Shelton for several months now, but she seems to be having a hard time trusting him. The 46-year-old singer is kicking off the tour to support her latest album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, on July 12, which means that she will be spending less time with her boyfriend.
The tour consists of 27 shows and will wrap up on August 25, so that’s basically over a month away from the 40-year-old country musician. The Hollywood Gossip reported that Stefani wanted Shelton to join her on tour, but he doesn’t want to feel like her groupie.
“Gwen is worried about the idea of spending time apart,” an insider told OK! Magazine. “She’s afraid it’s going to blow up their romance.”
According to their source, Gwen is having a hard time trusting men after her divorce from Gavin Rossdale, who had an affair with their former nanny, Mindy Mann. The No Doubt lead singer allegedly wants to keep an eye on the Voice coach to keep him from cheating on her.
Apart from watching over her boyfriend, Shelton’s appearance on her Stefani’s show could mean more sold out concerts. Their source claimed that the “God Gave Me You” singer is now bigger than the “Hollaback Girl” hitmaker.
“The idea that he could show up to perform their duet would be very attractive to fans,” an insider said.
Unfortunately, Blake Shelton has his own shows booked, which is why he couldn’t come along with his girlfriend. As much as he loves Gwen Stefani, he allegedly doesn’t want to be her sidekick for two months.
The Inquisitr previously reported that the rocker chick got a new personal assistant, and this time she avoided hiring someone who is as hot as her. According to reports, Gavin probably became attracted to Mindy because of her resemblance to Gwen. Us Weekly shared several photos of the former nanny copying her boss, including her fashion style.
“If Gwen would eat something or do a workout or get a new handbag, Mindy would do the same thing,” an insider revealed. “Gwen thought it was weird.”
The source also claimed that Stefani even loaned her clothes to Mann. The singer even treated their former nanny as her best friend and younger sister, which is likely why she felt betrayed when she found out about Mindy’s affair with Gavin.
According to Us Weekly, Rossdale has been cheating on Stefani for almost three years. Sources revealed that the British rock star left the hospital right after his wife gave birth to Apollo just to hook up with Mann. The 50-year-old musician insisted that they were just flirting with each other, but he later confessed that he cheated on her.
“The admission completely devastated her,” an insider said. “She was mortified, livid, and embarrassed.”
The rocker couple’s 13-year-marriage ended because of the cheating scandal, but she still allowed him to share custody of their three children Kingston, 10, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2. The California-born singer and her ex-husband remained true to their statement, which was released by E! Online during their split up last year.
“While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment,” the former husband and wife said.
Gwen Stefani is now happily dating Blake Shelton, but she doesn’t seem to be in a rush to get married again. There have been speculations coming out that they are already engaged, but she shut down the rumors during an interview with 94.7 Fresh FM’s The Tommy Show.
“Let’s just take it one day at a time,” she said. “Everything’s crazy right now, so no, absolutely not, are you crazy?”
