Jordan Rodgers On His Relationship With His Brother Aaron: ‘It’s Complicated’ — What’s The Reason Behind Their Rift?

Jordan Rodgers is coming clean about his relationship with his famous brother Aaron Rodgers. The Bachelorette frontrunner answered questions about his relationship with the Green Bay Packers quarterback while on Katie Nolan’s Garbage Time podcast. During the interview, Jordan hinted that he is not close with Aaron, and he seemed uncomfortable with Nolan’s line of questioning.

“Um, I, you know, we have, we have a relationship,” Jordan replied when asked how close he is with Aaron. “We, you know, it’s, uh … it’s complicated. I’ll say that.”

Jordan Rodgers admitted that he’ a Packers fan, although he pointed to another player, and not his brother, when talking about the team.

“One of my best friends in the world, Dave Bakhtiari, is [Aaron’s] left tackle. I lived with David before the draft, so absolutely.” Rodgers said when asked about his fandom. “Since I played, I end up being a fan of watching guys I played with. I don’t really have a team that I root for.”

Jordan Rodgers didn’t directly answer Nolan when she asked him if he thinks Aaron is watching him on The Bachelorette, but he made it sound like he hasn’t discussed the show with his superstar sibling.

“I’m sure everybody watches the show, so yeah,” Jordan said. “I haven’t gotten any pointers on my kissing or on my dating.”

Jordan Rodgers seemed to tire of the Aaron questions. When Nolan asked Jordan if he has ever been worried that someone he was dating was just using him to get close to Aaron and his longtime girlfriend, actress Olivia Munn, he said he has a sixth sense about those types of things. Jordan also claimed JoJo had no idea he had a famous brother.

“I think that’d be really easy to read right off that bat, and that’d be a big turn off,” Rodgers said.

As for accusations that he signed on to The Bachelorette for the “wrong reasons,” Jordan said he didn’t give the slam much thought.

“Every season, isn’t there somebody that’s [accused of that]?” Rodgers said. “I’m not sure why [anybody] would have said it, because I feel I was there with very genuine intent, and I feel everybody knew that … It’s not true, I just laugh it off.”

But even Jordan Rodgers’ own father has hinted that he didn’t join the show for the right reasons. Heavy.com reported that Jordan’s father, Ed, told a KRCR-TV reporter that his 27-year-old son never had a problem getting dates in the past. Ed reportedly also told the reporter that Jordan was planning on pursuing a career in sportscasting and that he thought an appearance on the hit ABC dating show would help his chances at success.

As for Jordan’s relationship with Aaron, the Rodgers brothers were previously close—or so it seemed. In 2011, Aaron and Jordan were filmed doing off-season training with Angelo Poli at Whole Body Fitness in Chico, California.

But in recent years, the NFL star’s romance with Olivia Munn may be part of the reason for the brothers’ conflict. Munn’s good pal Brittany Farrar—who happens to be an ex-girlfriend of Jordan’s – recently called Jordan out for being a cheater, and Munn liked the post on Instagram.

After the Bachelorette premiere, Farrar tagged Jordan in a scathing post that was captioned: “Riding the bench doesn’t get in the way of a relationship, but cheating does.” She also included several interesting hashtags, including “#yourpitchisntperfect,” and “#alwayswantedtobefamous #dreamscometrue #tuneinnextweekformoreBS,”

While Aaron Rodgers hasn’t talked about his opinion of Jordan’s Bachelorette stint, the NFL star is clearly not opposed to reality TV. Aaron previously appeared on Celebrity Jeopardy, but it was for charity—not for roses!
