Taylor Swift Nude Image In New Kanye West Music Video Makes Her Look ‘Drugged,’ Slams Lena Dunham

Taylor Swift and Kanye West have been feuding for years. But now that West has added fuel to the feud in the form of a music video, “Famous,” that features a nude image of Taylor, the rapper is getting slammed by those on Team Swift. Among those defending the “Bad Blood” singer is her friend Lena Dunham, reported Us Weekly.

Dunham shared her anger on Facebook. Among her accusations about Kanye’s “Famous” music video, Lena described the rapper’s creation as “disturbing.” In addition, Dunham felt “hurt” when she viewed the nude image of her pal, slamming her overall impression of the video by comparing it to other recent artistic creations.

“[Kanye’s music video is] one of the most disturbing ‘artistic’ efforts in recent memory.”

West premiered his “Famous” music video on June 24 at Los Angeles’ Forum. In the video, the 39-year-old husband of Kim Kardashian is also nude, resting in a bed adjacent to his wife. Joining them are 10 additional wax images of nude celebrities, including George W. Bush, Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner, and Bill Cosby.

In reviewing Kanye’s latest creation, Lena began with overall praise before shifting into criticism mode. Dunham, famous for Girls, emphasized that in general, she feels admiration for the rapper and the Keeping Up with the Kardashians clan.

The nude images, however, altered Lena’s perception because of the message it sends about views of women, wrote the actress in her review on Facebook.

“Let’s break it down: at the same time Brock Turner is getting off with a light tap for raping an unconscious woman and photographing her breasts for a group chat … While Bill Cosby’s crimes are still being uncovered and understood as traumas for the women he assaulted but also massive bruises to our national consciousness,” posted Dunham.

Lena also attacked how the bodies of the female celebrities such as Taylor appeared in the rapper’s video, contending that they appeared as if they had been “drugged” and tossed aside.

“Now I have to see the prone, unconscious, waxy bodies of famous women, twisted like they’ve been drugged and chucked aside at a rager? It gives me such a sickening sense of dis-ease.”

In addition, Lena clarified the distinction between the artistic use of nude images in art versus the effort that Kanye had produced. While Dunham is no stranger to life on the cutting edge of the entertainment industry, participating herself in those famous naked scenes of Girls on HBO, the actress argued that there is a difference. Moreover, declared Lena, she owns her reaction.

“I know that there’s a hipper or cooler reaction to have than the one I’m currently having,” she added. “But guess what? I don’t have a hip cool reaction.”

In addition to feeling upset with the nude images of women that she admires, Dunham expressed concern for the impact that West’s video might have on teenage girls, noted People.

“Seeing a woman I love like Taylor Swift (f–k that one hurt to look at, I couldn’t look), a woman I admire like Rihanna or Anna, reduced to a pair of waxy breasts made by some special effects guy in the Valley, it makes me feel sad and unsafe and worried for the teenage girls who watch this and may not understand that grainy roving camera as the stuff of snuff films,” revealed Lena.

Dunham titled her Facebook post “Peeking From Between My Fingers.” Admitting that her effort consisted of “disjointed thoughts,” Lena sought to make an impact with her message urging Kanye to be cautious about objectifying female bodies and stereotyping.
