‘Teen Mom 2’ Leah Messer Shares Photos Of Her Flooded Hometown In West Virginia

Teen Mom 2 Leah Messer is devastated by the recent flooding in her hometown in West Virginia.

In addition to sharing photos of the damage in the area, Leah Messer called for the help of residents in a post shared on Facebook over the weekend.

“Just finished my volunteering process through Red Cross!” Leah Messer announced to fans on Facebook on June 26. “Going to Walmart in cross lanes to be sent to a field! This is heartbreaking for so many! Please come help us ALL if you can! Go to http://redcross.org and to volunteer and just help all those in my hometown that has been affected!!! We always have each other’s backs!!!!”

A few days before Leah Messer became a Red Cross volunteer, the reality star posted 24 devastating photos taken of her hometown, Clendenin, West Virginia, one of which featured her daughter’s school under water.

As Leah Messer does her best to help out with the damage sustained by the flooding, she continues to share details of her personal triumph in recent months. Although the reality star endured a dramatic couple of seasons of Teen Mom 2 in recent years, she claims she is now much better off.

“No one will ever have the ability to ever strip my happiness and being from me, not even myself!” Leah Messer wrote to fans on Instagram last week. “I keep pushing forward, and shining bright through it all! Key to success = Embracing your trials and triumphs!! Gods gots a better plan for me than I had for myself! My growth over time has not just shocked everyone else, but it spooked me at first! It’s the best feeling ever!”

During Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Leah Messer was accused of drug use and seen on the series slurring her words and nodding out while holding her brother’s baby. However, rather than admit to any alleged struggles with drug use, Leah Messer claimed she was struggling with anxiety and depression, and also cited a possible issue with narcolepsy.

Months later, Leah Messer entered a treatment facility in Arizona, but still, she insisted her issues involved her mental health, not drugs. Meanwhile, both of her ex-husbands, Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert, spoke of her alleged drug use, and Calvert claimed she was dealing with a pill problem, likely from the pain killers she was prescribed following her daughter Adalynn’s painful birth.

Leah Messer also recently spoke of her self worth on Instagram.

“There is no greater blessing in life to be able to stand in your very own happiness with who you are and who you are becoming!” she shared. “The amount of joy peace, and TRUE love that I now can feel is empowering within itself. Don’t settle for less than what you deserve. Be YOU, Be a DIFFERENCE! Lets stand TOGETHER for a CHANGE, and teach each other our worthiness and HOW TO: Live Your Very OWN standards! Thanks to all who supported me and didn’t give up on me!”

Although Leah Messer lost primary custody of her twins, Ali and Aleeah, to Simms in October, she has since reclaimed more time with them.
