Jinger Duggar Moves Past Josh Duggar’s Scandals, Her Sad Story Made Jeremy Vuolo Want To Marry Her

Jinger Duggar is courting former soccer star Jeremy Vuolo, and her family is probably hoping that this happy news will make their fans go back to viewing the controversial family the way they did before Josh Duggar’s sex scandals tarnished the Duggar brand.

Unfortunately for the Duggars, they can’t return to the old 19 Kids and Counting days when fans thought it was kosher for Josh Duggar to explain the Duggar family’s strict dating rules to TLC viewers, and Josh’s cheating and sexual molestation scandals keep casting a shadow over every newsworthy story involving his family. The article concludes that Jinger Duggar has finally moved on from the backlash that her extremely conservative, pro-abstinence family faced last year when it was revealed that Josh Duggar had sexually molested four of his younger sisters. However, it definitely wasn’t easy for Jinger to get on with living her life. She and the rest of her family were just starting to put the molestation scandal behind them when another bombshell dropped; Josh Duggar confessed to cheating on his wife after Gawker discovered that he had a paid Ashley Madison account.

Last December, Extra shared a Counting On clip that shows a teary-eyed Jinger Duggar talking about the “hard pain” that her brother’s actions caused the family and their struggle to “work through” their feelings about what Josh did. Now Jinger has a shiny new courtship to distract her from the hurt Josh has caused, and it turns out that another painful period in her life helped her land her man, 28-year-old pastor Jeremy Vuolo. According to Jeremy’s website, he first met Jinger through her sister and brother-in-law, Jessa Duggar Seewald and Ben Seewald. Jeremy interacted with Jinger occasionally whenever he visited Ben and Jessa, but he didn’t start seeing her as wife material until he watched a video that Jinger and Ben made last February.

“I remember watching her testimony video that she had made with Ben and thinking, Wow. This girl is amazing,” Jeremy writes.

“I called Ben and Jess and began asking them more questions about her—of course, everything they said only confirmed what I had already been seeing: a humble, meek, modest, intelligent young woman with a burning desire to sacrificially serve the Lord in any way she could.”

In the video that impressed Jeremy Vuolo, Jinger Duggar reveals that she was just six years old when she decided that she was a sinner. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jinger says that she prayed like crazy in hopes of saving her young soul, but she believes that her “heart was not changed” until she was 14-years-old.

“I came in to my parents, and I was like, ‘I really need Jesus, because I know that, in my own self, I’m not going to be able to get to heaven,’ ” Jinger tells Ben in the video. “I’ve done so many bad deeds. I’ve sinned against God, and I cannot save myself from my sins.”

Jeremy Vuolo says something similar in his own testimony video, which was posted on YouTube on April 30. According to the pastor of the Grace Community Church in Laredo, Texas, he also decided that he was a sinner at a very young age.

“As I think back on my life, I remember vividly several crisis moments where I realized in a greater way than ever before the sin that was in my heart,” Jeremy says. “One of these came when I was five years old. Another came when I was 16, and another when I was midway through college. In these times I was struck with a profound realization of just how wicked my sin was.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jeremy confesses to drinking alcohol, partying, and even getting arrested when he was younger. He also hints that he was a bit promiscuous when he talks about falling into the “pits of lust, selfishness, and pride.” In other words, he’s a lot different than the guys with seemingly squeaky-clean pasts that Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald courted on 19 Kids and Counting. However, it appears as though Jeremy still plans on playing by Jim Bob Duggar’s strict courtship rules, which Josh Duggar talks about in the video below.
