‘Uncharted 4’ DLC & New Update Set For June 29 Release

The first Uncharted 4 DLC is arriving this week. Naughty Dog announced that a multiplayer DLC and the patch 1.08 for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End are officially slated for a June 29 release.

According to game developer’s blog posted on its official website, Uncharted 4’s upcoming update “will mark the first content release in the Multiplayer Roadmap” that was announced days prior to the PS4 game’s launch. Uncharted 4 players who have the Triple Pack will also get items included for MP Pack No. 1, the post also noted.

Talking more about the Uncharted 4’s Multiplayer DLC release, Naughty Dog shared the following

“We’re all excited about this release because not only does it include a lot of great content – like our first free map (!!!) – but it includes updates to Multiplayer that many of you have been asking for. We’re just scratching the surface by saying it includes new guns, new boosters, new taunts, new skins, custom matches, custom loadout names, a revamp to Ranked Team Deathmatch, and more!”

While not disclosing yet what it is particularly, Naughty Dog also teased that the Multiplayer DLC and update release happening on Wednesday will also bring in a highly requested feature from the Uncharted 4 gaming community.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End takes place three years after the events that happened in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception where the game’s protagonist, Nathan Drake, “has presumably left the world of fortune hunting behind.” But adventure called him again “when Drake’s brother, Sam, resurfaces seeking his help to save his own life and offering an adventure Drake can’t resist,” the game summary posted on IGN read.

On a mission to search for the treasures of Captain Henry Avery, the two brothers set out to find Libertalia, which is described as “the pirate utopia deep in the forests of Madagascar.” Naughty Dog’s highly successful game “takes players on a journey around the globe, through jungle isles, urban cities and snow-capped peaks on the search for Avery’s fortune.”
