Ben Higgins, Lauren Bushnell Split? Find Out What ‘Bachelor’ Couple Is Up To

Have Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell split? Not exactly. The couple — who met and fell in love on The Bachelor — has been so excited to start their lives together and previously said that they couldn’t wait to get married. Now that these two lovebirds have been engaged for several months, they are finally starting to think about tying the knot!

According to People Magazine, Ben Higgins and his fiancee aren’t planning anything just yet.

“Wedding planning hasn’t officially begun. We’ve finally gotten to a place in our lives where it has slowed down a little bit,” explained Lauren. “All of the things that are on our initial ‘to-do’ list post-Bachelor, we’ve accomplished. So, now I think we’re both ready to start wedding planning. That’s top of our list,” she continued.

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have been tossing ideas around when it comes to their big day but they haven’t really had any serious talks about what they want to do. However, that is something that is going to happen soon.

“We haven’t really sat down and talked about it. We’ve thrown ideas out there. It’s kind of tricky when you grow up and become an adult, everyone is so spread out. We have so many home bases. I’m from Portland, Ben is from Indiana, we live in Denver… We have a lot of options. It’s just kind of one those things that we really need to just sit down and look at locations and figure out what it is each of us have dreamt of,” Bushnell explained.

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have said that they don’t want a long engagement, which means that they could find themselves getting married over the next six to eight months or so — if they can get everything together that quickly. Interestingly enough, Ben and Lauren were really hoping to keep their relationship out of the public eye and were hoping to live somewhat of a “normal” life after falling in love on national television. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Higgins and Bushnell were really hoping to stay out of the spotlight, and it seemed like more time on TV wasn’t going to happen.

Well, things have certainly changed for Ben Higgins and his bride-to-be!

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are preparing for a new reality show that will likely follow them as they plan the next chapter of their lives together. And despite things settling down a little bit for these two lovebirds, don’t think they are sitting home watching JoJo Fletcher find love on The Bachelorette! Ben and Lauren simply doesn’t have time to watch JoJo as they live a “crazy” life.

“We actually haven’t been watching this season. Our life is really crazy. We travel all the time. [The Bachelor] was so good to us, but I think, instead of consuming ourselves for the last month and the next couple of months with more Bachelorette stuff, [it’s important] that we kind of just step away and take time for each other,” Ben Higgins said, according to People Magazine.

Ben Higgins also acknowledged that life moves quickly and that he and Lauren agreed to do reality television because they realized that they wouldn’t be able to live the private life that they thought they could after finishing The Bachelor. After being offered a deal to get them back on television (with a handsome paycheck, no less), Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell agreed to give it a go.

“For Lauren and I, we realized really quickly that our life was not going to be as private as we may have dreamed it would be, post-Bachelor. So with that we thought, ‘If everybody else cares so much about our life, why would we not allow people to come into our life via cameras again?’ We have a lot to share right now, our life is pretty exciting. It moves quickly. We have a lot going on. When the idea was kind of thrown at us, like: ‘Hey, can you just document what’s going on in your lives?’ We thought ‘Why not? Bring it all in, bring the whole world back into our life,'” Ben Higgins said.

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell’s new reality show is called Ben And Lauren: Happily Ever After, and it premieres in October on the Freeform network. Will you be tuning in?
