Florida Couple Spends Honeymoon In Jail After Abandoning Young Children

A Florida couple spent their honeymoon in jail after they left their three young children at home alone when they went to get married.

According to the Orlando Sentinel:

“Kymberely Frederick, 30, and Daniel Richards, 34, were arrested Tuesday on felony child-neglect charges.”

The couple left their home and headed to the Seminole County Courthouse at approximately 2:30 pm, leaving their one-year-old, two-year-old and three-year-old children at home without a babysitter.

As they left the house the couple left a note for their two older children to call if their parents were not home by the time they made it back from school.

According to police shortly after abandoning their youngsters the couple called a neighbor and asked them to babysit.

The neighbor who had lent their car to Frederick and Richards called police to notify them of the child abandonment and police headed to the courthouse to arrest the negligent parents.

When police arrived at the home they found the two youngest children alone in their cribs while the three-year-old was in a bed.

The couple appeared in court on Wednesday and will face charges in the near future. In the meantime the children have been removed from the home pending an investigation.

Do you think the couple’s children should be taken away permanently given their complete negligence in dealing with such young kids?
