Flower Shop Mystery: Dearly Depotted premieres on Hallmark Movies And Mysteries this weekend, according to the Lansing State Journal. The latest installment in the Flower Shop Mystery series is directed by Bradley Walsh and written by Neal H. Dobrofsky and Tippi Dobrofsky. The movie is focused around an ex-lawyer turned flower shop owner whose latest task is to provide flowers for an upcoming wedding and to solve the case of a dead man who turns up at the wedding.

Former big-city attorney Abby Knight is back, and this time, she’s fighting crime in a special way. It happens at the wedding of her overly dramatic cousin, where they find the dead body of a man who crashed the wedding. The thing is no one knows who the strange man is. After doing a bit of digging, the victim is identified as a grifter named Jack Sutcliff. By now, Abby is curious to find out more about his background and why he showed up to her cousin’s wedding.

Tending to her charming flower shop and making wedding arrangements isn’t the only thing Abby is up to. Now, she needs the time to thoroughly investigate this murder on her own terms. But, she’ll need the help of Marco, the handsome bar owner and former PI down the street who is always willing to help Abby solve her murder mysteries. Since the death of her husband, Abby has come to rely on Marco since he makes her feel protected and safe. In between sleuthing and stakeouts, Marco still tries to convince Abby to go out with him, while Abby continues trying to keep Marco and his romantic feelings for her at bay. Will this latest murder mystery bring Marco and Abby even closer to a romantic relationship?

The movie is based on the book Dearly Depotted by national best-selling author Kate Collins, who uses the love that she has for flowers and mystery to fuel her inspiration for these crafty novels and movies, according to her bio.
