Amber Marchese Diagnosed With Lyme And Cancer — And Munchausen Syndrome?

Amber Marchese announced last year that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer once again. While she filmed one season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Amber had her five-year checkup, and the doctor revealed that she was cancer free. But a few years later, Marchese is now dealing with another illness. Marchese announced this week that she had been diagnosed with Lyme disease, something that has been discussed heavily on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

According to a new Real Mr. Housewife report, Amber Marchese is now joking around about her Lyme disease diagnosis. As soon as the news broke that she had been diagnosed with Lyme disease, a fan of the show reached out to Amber to ask her about her diagnosis. And maybe the fan thought it would be funny to ask her whether she was suffering from Lyme disease or Munchausen syndrome.

“My comment was completely sarcastic and snarky. I could not believe someone in this world would have the audacity to say that to another,” Amber Marchese replied when asked about the comment, adding, “It was only one idiot to say that to me and my reply did not have any Housewife in mind.”

It’s definitely interesting that Amber would make a joke about Munchausen syndrome considering Yolanda Hadid had to struggle with these accusations last year. The entire last season was plagued by accusations that Yolanda Hadid may have been making herself sick for attention simply because no one understood her illness. This was very hurtful for Yolanda, who really felt betrayed by her co-stars. And it may have caused her to leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills behind. It sounds like Amber Marchese wants Hadid’s accuser to take a look at the situation, as she’s a firm supporter of Hadid.

“If Yolanda was ever accused of this, I think the accuser needs stop behaving as a psychotherapist,” Marchese reveals, adding, “Unless they willing to take the years of the education to be able diagnose someone, zip it. Acting like a therapist on TV does not count.”

Yolanda hasn’t said anything about Amber Marchese’s joke, which she admits was a bit snarky. But the joke had nothing to do with Yolanda and the drama she went through on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It was just a few weeks ago that Amber announced she had been diagnosed with Lyme disease.

“I was officially diagnosed last week,” Marchese told Entertainment Tonight, according to US Magazine. “About two weeks ago, I had flulike symptoms which included a low-grade fever, headache, aches, chills, joint pain and awful neck pain.”

Of course, Amber is already battling breast cancer, so one can imagine she’s putting up quite the fight. When Marchese learned about her diagnosis with cancer for the second time, she started going to the gym quite often and was serious about her health. And it sounds like this Lyme disease diagnosis hasn’t changed her attitude about her health.

“I am coping by getting my butt to the gym and pushing myself as hard as I can! I enjoy every day as a blessing and focus on my family and friends,” Amber Marchese explained, according to Us Weekly.

It is possible that Yolanda would have reached out to Marchese to discuss Lyme disease before she made the Munchausen syndrome comment, joking that she had been diagnosed with Munchausen syndrome, which is a disorder where people fake being sick to get attention.
