Kate Middleton: Prince William Not A Fan Of Duchess’ Cooking, Kate Stuns In Recycled Jenny Peckham Gown

It seems that Kate Middleton and Prince William have entered that fun point of their relationship where they jest about one another like an old married couple. Recently, both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined in on a joke that revolved around Kate’s cooking.

While the couple hosted a charity gala dinner, at which the food was prepared by five Michelin-star chefs, they began to chat with the culinary experts as to what they see on their own table at Anmer Hall. Interestingly enough, it’s usually Kate herself who does the cooking, and not a slew of on-call chefs, as New York Magazine indicates.

“William has to put up with my cooking most of the time,” Kate joked to the five fancy chefs, to which her wisecracker husband replied, “It’s the reason I’m so skinny.”

The top chefs with which the couple spoke included Galton Blakiston of Morston Hall on the Norfolk coast, St Bains of Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham, Clause Bosi of Hibiscus in London, Tom Kerridge of The Hand and Flower in Harlow, and Mark Edwards of Nobu.

The couple is obviously at that comfortable phase of their marriage where they have a routine and an appreciation for one another, and they can clearly appreciate one another’s humor. While at the lavish charity dinner at Houghton Hall, Middleton reminded the world that she has no problem recycling some of her gorgeous gowns and looks from years gone by. So many celebrities feel the need to always have something new to be photographed in, but in the case of Kate, the items she chooses to re-wear are always spectacular.

To the event, which Vanity Fair reports on, the Duchess donned her gorgeous pink Jenny Peckham dress which she first stepped out in five years ago while at the ARK 10th Anniversary Gala dinner at Perk’s Field. Kate looked radiant as always and was met with a welcoming crowd at the charity gathering. As the publication notes, “the central difference this time being that she wore her hair up rather than down, as she did five years ago. (She wore the same nude LK Bennett shoes, a favorite pair of hers, on both occasions.)”

As The Inquisitr recently reported, prior to the gala, the event was held as a means to thank supporters of one of Kate’s favorite charities, East Anglia Children’s Hospices. The organizers are hoping to build a new hospice and are focused on raising $14 million in order to achieve this goal.

Emma Deterding, the event organizer and EACH advocate, spoke recently about the importance of the initiative.

“I have seen at first hand how incredible and important the development of the children’s hospice movement is since its beginnings in the 1980s. I continue to be amazed by how hard EACH works to ensure that hundreds of children with life-threatening conditions and their families in East Anglia get the best care possible. The passion and commitment that the staff demonstrates and the care they offer both in the hospices and the community is inspiring and humbling in equal measure.”

Kate and William have been avid supporters and advocates for a number of charities, including EACH, over the years. Middleton has taken a particular interest in involving herself as an advocate to bring awareness to those living with mental health issues. She and her husband, along with Prince Harry, have also gotten on board with #Headstogether campaign, which seeks to curb the negative stigma attached to mental illness.

So it seems that, regardless of the light-hearted digs, the two just simply make the perfect team and royal couple.
