Tamar Braxton To Be Replaced By Sister Trina Braxton On ‘The Real’?
Fans of The Real have been speculating for weeks about just who will be replacing Tamar Braxton on the Fox daytime talk show, but could one of Tamar’s famous sisters now be in the running?
Rumors have been swirling regarding just who will be sitting in Tamar’s vacated seat on The Real ever since it was announced that Braxton would not be returning for a third season last month. Now, Braxton’s sister Trina Braxton is addressing reports that she could be taking over her sister’s role.
Speaking out about the possibility of being a replacement for Tamar on The Real in a new interview with The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, Trina Braxton slammed recent reports suggesting that she could be the one who takes over Tamar’s former role, claiming that there’s little chance of her joining the show as she’s staying loyal to her family.
“I think the chances are slim and none,” Braxton admitted on the radio show of her chances of joining The Real as Tamar’s replacement.
“When something like that happens to your family it’s very personal,” Trina continued of Tamar’s shocking firing. “When it comes to business and when it comes to family, family comes first every time.”
Braxton’s admission that she has no plans to take over Tamar’s position on The Real comes just weeks after her sister broke down in tears over the show’s decision not to ask her back for a third season during an episode of the Braxton family’s reality series, Braxton Family Values.
Tamar Braxton broke down as she discussed her firing with sister Toni Braxton, emotionally admitting in the June 2 episode of the WE tv reality series, titled “S*** Gets Real,” that she didn’t know what she did to warrant her being let go from the show.

“Everything just feels like a loss for me,” Tamar emotionally told Toni in the episode, which aired earlier this month. “This whole year sucked… I just feel the rug has been pulled from under me for everything I love and everything that I do.”
Tamar has since announced that she’s landed her own talk show, which is set to be produced by Steve Harvey, though the latest rumors about who could be taking over Braxton’s chair at the Real table come just days after Tamar’s former co-host Loni Love confirmed that she will, in fact, be replaced.
Loni admitted that the show, which currently has four co-hosts, will return to a five-piece ensemble when the talk show returns to Fox in September, revealing on The Tom Joyner Morning Show last week that those behind the scenes are already searching for Braxton’s replacement.
“We don’t know who they’re going to choose,” Loni admitted in the radio interview, confirming that she, Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Bailon, and Tamera Mowry-Housley will be getting a new co-host for the upcoming third season.
But while fans will have to wait to find out exactly who will be taking over for Tamar, Braxton’s former The Real co-hosts aren’t wasting any time in continuing on without her.
Just one month after it was announced that Tamar would not be returning to the show, The Real co-hosts made their first public appearance as a foursome for a new interview with Extra.
Although the ladies didn’t address the swirling rumors about who may be brought onto the series as a replacement, they did speak out about Tamar’s shocking departure.
“You know, first of all, we want to let all of our fans know that we love them and we were totally taken by surprise when we found out that Tamar wouldn’t be returning to The Real,” Loni Love admitted to Extra host Mario Lopez earlier this week.
“We love [Tamar],” Loni said, before Tamera added, “We will miss her dearly.”
