Selena Gomez Approves Of Taylor Swift, Tom Hiddleston Romance — Secretly Dissing Calvin Harris?

Selena Gomez has reportedly shared her opinions on what she makes of Tom Hiddleston after finding out that the Hollywood star is now officially dating her best friend, Taylor Swift.

The singer was pleasantly surprised to hear that the 35-year-old would be showing up to her recent concert as part of her Revival Tour earlier this week, proving himself to be a doting boyfriend since Taylor Swift reportedly wanted him there.

The couple were dancing to almost every song Selena performed that night — they even shared kisses and hugs in front of the audience, making it clear that this relationship is the real deal. And from what Selena has made of Tom Hiddleston and his romance with her best friend, the 23-year-old totally approves.

“Selena has met Tom and loves him. He is so nice, so fun and a real honest person and the ultimate gentleman,” a source tells Hollywood Life. “She likes how he treats Taylor and how he makes her feel, she signs off on him completely! He’s just a real genuine guy and Selena really enjoys seeing that.”

Selena’s comments seem rather strange since she said the same thing about Calvin Harris when the music producer was still dating Swift. The relationship lasted 15 months, and while Taylor’s closest pals, including Selena Gomez, thought the romance would eventually lead to marriage, Swift suddenly decided she no longer wanted to be with Calvin and came to the conclusion to end things right away.

With that in mind, it does raise the question of whether Selena really liked Calvin, since she’s more or less repeating the same things about Tom that she famously said about Taylor’s ex-boyfriend. Or maybe it’s the other way around and she’s just being a supportive friend when in all honesty, she’s not particularly sure what to make of Hiddleston just yet.

Either way, Gomez has reportedly told Swift that she couldn’t be happier for her friend, who is already planning to introduce Tom to her parents in the forthcoming weeks. Sources say that the “Shake It Off” singer is certain that this relationship will last longer than her previous — she wants her parents to meet Tom sooner rather than later because she knows that he’s not going anywhere.

Social media users have since reacted to the news, finding it rather strange that a woman who claims to have only dated an actor for two weeks is already gearing up to introduce him to her family. Unless, as previously reported, Taylor was secretly cheating on Calvin Harris and started dating Tom weeks prior to her official announcement that she was ending things with the DJ.

Gomez and Swift have been friends for years. The “Good For You” hitmaker has been by Taylor’s side throughout all the breakups she has gone through. Fans don’t seem to think that Selena Gomez is only talking highly of Tom because she wants to be seen as a supportive friend, she genuinely likes the actor and thinks he makes a perfect boyfriend for Taylor.

Of course, there have been ex-boyfriends on Swift’s long list of exes that Selena wasn’t too fond of, allegedly including Harry Styles, who the 26-year-old briefly dated for a couple of months before convincing herself that the One Direction member may have been cheating on her.

All in all, it seems Selena Gomez couldn’t be happier for Taylor Swift. Regardless of whether she likes her boyfriend or not, she sees that her friend is happy, and that’s really all that matters.
