Uma Thurman Is Thrown Again: Horse Fall Breaks Bones Weeks After Fiat Heir’s Coerced Kiss

Actress Uma Thurman broke several bones while horse riding in St. Bart’s. Witnesses to accident’s aftermath said she entered La Plage restaurant assisted by her children, and she looked as if she was in a great deal of pain. Her rep confirmed to Page Six that the 46-year-old Kill Bill star did indeed suffer injuries after a horse fall.

“Uma was in an equestrian accident. She was training on a young thoroughbred who got spooked. She was thrown and broke a few bones.”

There is no word yet on what her exact injuries are, but witnesses said that her hip appeared to be injured.

Uma Thurman is having a rough couple of months. Fiat heir Lapo Elkmann decided to pull an “Adrian Brody,” and violated the Pulp Fiction star’s personal space at amfAR’s 23rd annual Cinema Against AIDS gala. Elkmann’s actions mimicked Brody’s, who famously grabbed Halle Berry and stuck his tongue down her throat when she presented him with the Best Actor award at the 2003 Academy Awards, although Berry and the media took the impromptu kiss a lot better than Thurman did.

The 38-year-old Italian entrepreneur was feeling very generous that night; first by donating a customized camouflaged Ferrari 458 that sold for $1 million, followed by bidding 175,000 Euros ($196,000) for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show experience. He was so elated he decided to share his joy with Thurman by giving her a very passionate unsolicited kiss. Thurman was not happy her rep told E! News.

“It is opportunism at its worst. Somewhere in his head he must have thought it an appropriate way of behaving. It clearly wasn’t. It looks like she was happy to have it happen, but it was not consensual.”

This horse riding accident is inconveniently happening at a time when Thurman is preparing for three future films. The Brits Are Coming, which is happening later this year and also stars Crisping Glover and Sofia Vergara has her portraying a British con artist, who is forced to flee to Los Angeles, along with her partner, to avoid paying off a debt to an infamous mobster. The globe-trotting comedy is in post-production and it is doubtful that her injuries will affect the release. Her other two films; The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, based on the novel The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe, by Romain Puertolas, and The Bay of Silence, a mystery costarring Toby Stephens and Brian Cox, are both in pre-production stages and it is unclear whether her injuries will affect either films’ scheduled 2017 releases.

The mom of three has a lengthy and painful recovery ahead of her, and her injuries will surely affect her active and athletic lifestyle. Uma Thurman has two children; 18-year old daughter Maya Raye, and 14-year-old son Levon, with her ex-husband actor Ethan Hawke; and 4-year-old daughter Luna, with ex-fiancé French financier Arpad Busson, who sued her for custody of their daughter in 2014. The settled their differences 11 months later, making the decision to co-parent, as she had done with Hawke. According to Wonderwall, Uma Thurman is dating hotelier Andre Balazs again. The couple broke up in 2007 but apparently the on again, off again couple worked out their differences and got back together sometime in 2015.
