‘Bachelor’ Stars Ben Higgins And Lauren Bushnell Get Their Own Show: What’s The Scoop?

Bachelor lovebirds Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are headed back to reality television, and fans are thrilled to hear the news. This series seemingly will be a positive show that gives fans more of the love story that Ben and Lauren created as they fell in love on ABC. What is known so far about the new project?

As Us Weekly details, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell will film a new show together this summer. The series will be called Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After, and it will air on the Freeform network this fall. For those who are not familiar with the Freeform network, it is the rebranded ABC Family network, which explains how it works out that Higgins and Bushnell can snag the opportunity considering the post-Bachelor contract that has a fair amount of control over anything televised they do.

Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After will follow Higgins and Bushnell as they build their life together in Denver, Colorado. As Bachelor fans know, she moved to Denver from California, where she had been living prior to filming the show. The two still travel quite a bit for appearances, extended family visits, and various fun outings, but they have also been sharing quite a bit of their life in Denver, where they are working on updating a home together.

As Higgins details, Bachelor fans are still very interested in his life with Bushnell despite their season being over. They are still a pretty public couple anyway, so they thought this would be a fun way to share their life with the fans. They have always said that they would be open to doing more reality television depending on what offers came together.

Bachelor fans will be thrilled to see Ben and Lauren back on television again, and surely many are breathing a sigh of relief that Higgins and Bushnell are doing their own series. As gossip guru Reality Steve has pointed out, lately many from the franchise seem to head over to the WE tv show Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars as an opportunity to do more reality television.

Past seasons of Marriage Boot Camp have featured Ryan and Trista Sutter and Catherine and Sean Lowe, and former Bachelor in Paradise couple Michelle Money and Cody Sattler are on the current season. Reality Steve’s spoilers have delivered some somewhat disappointing news to Bachelor Nation fans by recently sharing that Ashley and JP Rosenbaum have filmed an upcoming season of the dramatic series, as have Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert.

Luckily, at least at this point, these two aren’t following that path. What can Bachelor fans expect from Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? They share that it will not be all roses and contentment, as the series will show some of the struggles they have encountered since moving in with one another this past April.

No, Higgins and Bushnell aren’t battling over his supposed lingering feelings for JoJo Fletcher as many tabloids claim. Rather, their disagreements tend to be over things like decorating choices for their home, they share. Higgins is considering running for the Colorado House of Representatives this fall, and viewers will watch as Ben works through that decision over the coming months.

What about wedding planning? Higgins and Bushnell seemingly have not pinned down a wedding date yet, which would seem to dismiss the recent rumors that they might get married this summer. However, the Bachelor stars tease that the series will show some of their wedding planning as they aim to get more serious regarding putting the event together in the coming months.

There is already a Facebook page set up for Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After, as well as a Twitter page, and the pages detail that the new show will premiere in October. Bachelor fans are definitely buzzing over the news of this new series and cannot wait to tune in to see it this fall.

Will you be watching Higgins and Bushnell this fall on Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? Do you think this Bachelor couple will soon manage to make it down the aisle?
