Mike Shouhed Still Hung Up On Jessica Parido? Asa Soltan Rahmati Stands By ‘Shahs Of Sunset’ Co-Star Amid Infidelity Rumors
Shahs of Sunset star Mike Shouhed is still reeling from his painful divorce with co-star Jessica Parido. The 37-year-old reality star is still reportedly heartbroken after their five-year relationship ended last year. Shahs co-star Asa Soltan Rahmati revealed that the split had really taken a toll on Shouhed.
In an interview with The Daily Dish, via Bravo TV, Asa Soltan Rahmati shared that while Mike Shouhed made it seem like he got over his divorce from Jessica Parido fairly quickly, the Shahs of Sunset star was deeply affected by the split. Rahmati warned Shouhed against getting into another relationship immediately after the break up, adding that he should take this time to focus on himself.
“The thing with Mike is that I’ve known him for a really long time. Mike wants to act like he’s a player, but he’s really actually not. He’s like a serial relationship person. He likes to be in a relationship and he’s much more of a lover than he is like whatever he acts like. But, still, I told him take your time,” Rahmati said.

While the divorce had been difficult for Shouhed, Rahmati believed that he will be able to get through it in time. In November of last year, Shouhed and Parido confirmed that they are getting a divorce. Parido cited Shouhed’s infidelity as the reason for the split. Rahmati said that, up to this day, Shouhed is still dealing with the consequences of his actions.
The Shahs of Sunset star held that no matter what, she would always have Mike Shouhed’s back. He may have made a mistake in the past but Asa Soltan Rahmati believed that it is never too late for a person to change.
“For me, my approach always was, ‘Sure Mike made a mistake and it’s a great mistake and he’s suffering from it the most, so I just wanted to be there from him for the healing aspect of it.’ You go through, you admit you made a mistake — and it’s a difficult thing, you’re dealing with it, [but] I’m here for you. I unconditionally love you.'”
Having known Mike for more than 20 years, Asa said that they have formed a special bond. She added that they have gotten a lot closer this year because of all that they have gone through. Asa also praised Mike for the maturity he has shown in dealing with the all the issues thrown his way.
The Shahs of Sunset star also shared that it broke her heart to see how Mike Shouhed was deeply affected by his very public divorce with Jessica Parido.
“He’s asked me some things and I’ve offered my advice, whenever he’s asked, and it breaks my heart. It’s really difficult to go through that on television and it’s very raw,” Asa said.
When asked if she has gotten in touch with Jessica Parido, Asa Soltan Rahmati explained that they were not really close to begin with. She added that they all knew her as “Mike’s wife.” Rahmati also pointed out that none of the Shahs of Sunset stars were close friends with her.
“Last time I spoke to Jessica was at my fashion show when I invited her. But, you know, we’re just not friends. It’s not like I spoke to her before either. None of us are terribly close with Jessica. She was always Mike’s wife and when one of your best friends is married, obviously you’re going to always be cool to their spouse. But that was my relationship with her, nothing really closer.”
