Rihanna Debuts New Pixie Cut

Rihanna has done it again. The sensationalized R&B singer has decided to chop off her hair once again. This time it’s even shorter than her signature look that she debuted in 2008 at the NRJ Music Festival awards.

This time it looks as though Rihanna will publicly debut an even shorter ‘do at the 2012 MTV VMAs later tonight at 9 pm. Earlier today Rihanna was pictured outside of the Los Angeles Staples Center getting ready for tonight’s award show with a brand new pixie haircut. The pixie hair has been made popular in recent years by actresses Halle Berry, Michelle Williams, and Emma Watson. The original haircut rose to fame in the 60s when famous faces like fashion model Twiggy and actress Mia Farrow wore the haircut.

In addition to debuting a short haircut in 2008, Rihanna also went back to a shorter look for her first film and subsequent flop for Battleship. The new pixie haircut is said to be the shortest Rihanna has ever styled her hair, at least to the public’s knowledge. So far, the very candid singer who tends to tweet her feelings as they come hasn’t tweeted about the new change in hair from the wavy locks she’s been sporting for months. Looks like viewers that tune into the MTV VMAs are in for a whole new treat from Rihanna.
