Battle Of The Bellas: Bella Hadid And Bella Thorne Debut Pink Hair

It’s the battle of the Bellas, and we don’t mean the Italian word for beautiful people. On the other hand, both Bella Hadid and Bella Thorne are both incredibly beautiful young women. The starlets now share something else in common.

Bella Hadid, 19, and Bella Thorne, 18, debuted their newly dyed pink tips within just days of each other, making it one of the hottest hairstyles of the summer. Thorne was the first to take to Instagram to show off her dye job after she asked her fans what color she should try next.

Bella kicked things off by sharing a Photoshopped picture of herself rocking purple hair along with the caption, “Hmmm what color am I doing today????”

Then later that day, Thorne revealed that the photo was a joke as she showed off her hot pink tips.

“Red AND pink b****es!!! Thank you to my babies for bringing this to life!!” she wrote in the caption.

The Duff star’s tips were colored with a mixture of pink and purple, but she kept most of her natural red hair color. Back in April, Thorne rocked a similar look at the Coachella Music Festival.

Then, over in London, Hadid debuted her light pink hair. The newly announced Dior Makeup brand ambassador dyed her hair platinum blonde that featured dark roots and baby pink tips while she posed in just a white robe in her Instagram post on Monday, June 20. In her post, Hadid thanked hair stylist Sam McKnight and makeup artist Val Garland for her new look.

She also mentioned “two brilliant minds.” Was Bella talking about Bella Thorne or her stylists? Bella’s post could go either way! Meanwhile, Bella’s sister Gigi made fans do a double take when she showed up to the Much Music Video Awards wearing a dark brown braid. Bella is looking more like Gigi, while Gigi is looking more like Bella these days.

But it looks like Hadid’s newly pink tips won’t stick around for long. According to Refinery29, the new hair color was just for an upcoming photo shoot. McKnight revealed to the outlet the technique he used on Hadid’s hair.

“I customized the real-hair wig, which started off blond. First we did a salmon-pink dye, then brushed on pale, sugar-almond pink to the ends, finally painting darker roots. Bella loved it — we all did — but it wasn’t quite right for the shoot, so sadly [it] didn’t make it. But we vowed to do another shoot.”

Bella will be back to her smoldering dark brown self in no time. She was just spotted having dinner with her longtime boyfriend The Weeknd in West Hollywood. She looked amazing in her gray heathered wrap dress by Bardot, which she paired with black patent leather combat boots and a simple silver choker. The Weeknd wore his signature olive green satin bomber jacket with a black T-shirt, black jeans, and black platform sneakers.

Bella Thorne and Bella Hadid aren’t the only young stars who have been rocking pink hair lately. Last week, Ariana Grande was seen wearing light pink tips in MAC’s new Viva Glam campaign. The 23-year-old pop star was photographed in a light pink cold-shoulder sweater, light pink ruffled socks, and neon pink Mary-Jane pumps. She topped off her look with pink streaks in her signature ponytail while wearing bright orchid lipstick and matching nail polish.
