Selma Blair Carried Off On Stretcher After Bizarre Mid-Flight Incident
Actress Selma Blair reportedly had an outburst in an airplane while en route to Los Angeles from Cancun, Mexico. According to a report by People, as told by witnesses who were on the flight, Selma was in first class drinking wine when she suddenly started crying and talking about an unnamed man. A witness shared what the 43-year-old actress was saying.
“He burns my private parts. He won’t let me eat or drink. He beats me. He’s going to kill me.”
Two nurses on the flight tried to help Selma Blair because they were concerned about how she was acting. The nurses tended to the actress and they also searched her bags for pills. The pilot then reported to the tower that a passenger was mixing pills with alcohol.
An official who witnessed the incident said that Selma Blair was put on a stretcher and was met at LAX by paramedics when the plane landed; she was transported to a nearby hospital.
“It looks like she had taken a combination of prescription medication with alcohol. We don’t know what sort of prescription medications.”
In addition, a representative from the Los Angeles Fire Department said that they had received a call at 2:54 p.m. “for an individual that was sick on a place and transported the individual to a local hospital.”
According to Us Weekly, Selma Blair had spent the Father’s Day weekend in Mexico with her ex-partner Jason Bleick and their four-year-old son, Arthur Saint Bleick. They were staying at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. In a previous interview with the magazine, Selma Blair jokingly talked about reuniting with her ex.
“I have to find the man that will do this with me. I’m going away with his dad to Mexico this weekend for Father’s Day, so maybe we’ll come back reunited.”
Selma Blair started dating Bleick in 2010, and a year later, they announced that they were expecting their first child. In 2012, however, the two announced that they were separating after two years of dating.
On Thursday, Selma shared a picture of herself with her son on the airplane going to Mexico.
Just a day before her airplane outburst, Selma Blair was photographed enjoying a day at a beach in Cancun wearing a white bikini. As The Daily Mail reports, Blair was seen looking tired.
“At one point she even bent over and closed her eyes while sitting on a stone block, and looked in danger of dozing off. She later looked like she was relishing a refreshing ice cold drink as she relaxed on a sun lounger.”
Another source told E! News that Selma was enjoying herself in Mexico and wasn’t there to party. Selma Blair spent time enjoying the spa and played with her son on the beach.
“Selma and Jason got cozy in a cabana where they played with son, Arthur, and the family was spotted laughing, building sand castles and playing beach games. The actress had a relaxing and healthy weekend, where she worked out daily and spent time with her family.”

Reports say that Selma’s son was with her on the flight when the incident happened, but it is not known whether her ex, Jason Bleick, was on the flight with them. As of writing, Selma Blair’s rep has not responded to requests for a comment regarding the actress’ outburst. There is no news on Selma Blair’s condition as of writing.
