Watch United States Vs. Argentina Soccer Live Online: Start Time, Streaming Video Link For Copa America Semifinal

Fans can watch the United States vs. Argentina soccer match live online and see which team can move their way through to the 2016 Copa America final.

The United States will look to continue their surprising run against a heavily favored Argentina squad led by Lionel Messi. Though Team USA will have the home field advantage in Houston, it will likely take a huge effort to overcome the Copa America favorites.

The teams will kick off on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET. The match will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 and Univision Deportes, and it will also be available online for those unable to get to a television (links to streaming video can be found below).

For the United States, coach Jurgen Klinsmann is not thinking about the huge odds facing his team. He notes that they have performed well on the big stage before, including the World Cup in which they advanced further than many expected.

“There’s no reason at all why we can’t win Copa America,” he said (via ESPN). “We travelled the world the last few years to very difficult friendly games all over Europe and in Mexico and we came away with wins.

“We surprised a lot of people — no one gave us a chance to get out of the group in Brazil [at the World Cup]. We left Portugal behind, we left Ghana behind. Dream big — why not? This is about two more games.”

But, Tuesday’s task will be even tougher for the United States, who will be without key players Bobby Wood and Jermaine Jones. Wood received back-to-back yellow cards and Jones received a red card in the quarterfinal, leading to suspensions for both in the semifinal round. The United States tried to appeal the decision but was dismissed.

Fans who watch the United States vs. Argentina soccer match live online will see a motivated Messi in search of his first international tournament win. He has been on a torrid stretch in the 2016 Copa America, including a goal and two assists in his team’s 4-1 win over Venezuela on Saturday.

The performance gave Messi 54 total goals while representing Argentina, putting him in a tie with Gabriel Batistuta for the most all time for the South American nation.

“I drew level with him, I did not break the record, but to be next to Gabriel Batistuta as the highest goalscorer, with all that implies, is a source of great pride for me,” Messi said.

“But I am also happy not just because I scored, but because I helped the team.”

“Our goal was to move forward and make the semifinals. We did that with a great game and by playing better, except for the last 15 minutes of the first half when Venezuela pressured us and started to take the ball.”

What will the United States do when facing the man who is arguably the greatest soccer player in the world right now? As Klinsmann said, the approach will be to stay focused and not lose sight of their goal. He noted the success the United States has had against phenomenal players in the past, including a matchup against Ronaldo in the World Cup.

“We take it as it comes,” Klinsmann told USA Today. “There is no need to talk and make Argentina bigger than they are. We played two years ago (against) Ronaldo and that was a big game, too. We were winning 2-1 right into the 96th minute. We came so far now and we are hungry for the next step, even though we understand it is a big opponent.”
