Meghan King Edmonds Expecting Baby Girl: ‘RHOC’ Star Dishes Details On Pregnancy

Meghan King Edmonds announced last year that she really wanted to become a mother. While she was filming The Real Housewives of Orange County, Meghan expressed a desire to become a mother, and she really wanted to have a child of her own. Edmonds is a stepmother to Jimmy Edmonds’ other children from his previous marriages, and the role of a stepmother was something that was heavily discussed on last year’s season of the show. But now, Meghan gets to experience everything herself, as she’s now pregnant with her first child.

According to a new Bravo report, Meghan King Edmonds announced the pregnancy this morning on social media, the day of the premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Throughout the season, Meghan King Edmonds and her husband will try to get pregnant via IVF, and the process worked very well. They got pregnant on their first try. Edmonds revealed that she’s expecting a baby girl.

“To say we’re thrilled to expand our family is an understatement,” Meghan said to the Daily Dish, adding, “Life will definitely be busy, but we’d have it no other way.”

Edmonds and her husband got married in October 2016, and the first few months of marriage were documented on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Vicki Gunvalson had been very vocal about her dislike for Meghan’s words when it came to her role as a stepmother. It was clear that Edmonds just wanted a child of her own, and she was sad that it wasn’t happening. But Edmonds and her husband had been planning on this baby for a while.

“Our resolution: spend every min possible with my best friend & to turn our family of 6 into 7! I love u @JimEdmonds!” she revealed on Instagram, adding about the process, “Infertility is a challenge that faces so many, and I hope our story will bring hope to those working to build their family.”

During the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion, Meghan King Edmonds revealed that she was ready to have a child, and Jimmy revealed that he was ready to have another child with her because it meant so much to her. He already has four children from previous relationships. The two had kept the pregnancy under wraps and they announced it this morning — just hours before the newest season of The Real Housewives of Orange County premieres.

“I’m so over the moon, I couldn’t believe it the first time I peed on a stick and I saw that little line kind of get a little darker. I’ve always dreamed of this, but it’s still such a miracle. I can’t even describe the feeling,” Meghan King Edmonds told People magazine after learning of the pregnancy, adding that she was rather lucky with the IVF process.

“We went through IVF and fortunately we got pregnant the first time,” Meghan reveals, adding, “It was just such a long process with the IVF, step by step by step with so much information.”

But the IVF process wasn’t easy for her, even though she got pregnant the first time around. It was a painful process, and Meghan King Edmonds reveals that she was in physical pain for a while. The most painful part was the drug stimulation injections that grew her ovaries to the size of grapefruits. She ended up being so swollen that she couldn’t’ sit down.

“I was swollen and in pain and it hurt to even sit straight up. It was awful. And then the recovery from that was hard,” Meghan reveals.

It will be fun to watch her pregnancy process on The Real Housewives of Orange County, as the new season starts tonight.
