A Homeless Man Stabbed And Killed A Bronx Teen After Demanding More Than The $2 He Was Given

Police have reported that on Friday night a simple act of generosity turned into a tragedy when a 17-year-old boy from the Bronx was fatally stabbed after he gave a homeless man $2 and another man stabbed him for it. It seems that the robbery turned tragic after the second man demanded more money from the teen boy and he said he had no more money.

The murdered teenage boy has been identified as Carl Ducasse, who was an aspiring attorney and he was already set to graduate from his high school later this month. However, on Friday the 17-year-old boy received multiple stab wounds to the chest from a killer, who wielded a knife, and who police have advised is still at large.

The fatal stabbing took place on East 175th St. and Walton Ave on the evening of June 17, which the teenage boy had been walking with a friend. The witness says that a homeless man approached the two late Friday evening by a homeless person who had been asking for money. According to Vibe, eventually an argument erupted between the teen and the beggar when the homeless man wanted more than the $2 that Ducasse had given to him.

It was told that as the teen went to give the homeless man the $2 his phone fell and he bent to pick it up. It was during this time, while the argument was also going on, that the witness said that a second homeless man approached them, coming up behind Ducasse and demanded all his money. The two got into a bit of a fight when the boy continued to insist that he had no money, and that is when he was viciously stabbed. Reportedly, as the boy fell to the sidewalk suffering, the homeless man stole the teenager’s phone.

The teenager was rushed to nearby St. Barnabas Hospital once authorities arrived on scene, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Unfortunately, the medical staff at the hospital were unable to save the teenager’s life. He was stabbed a block from his home.

Angela Ducasse, the mother of the teen who was stabbed and killed, spoke to the media regarding the murder of her son and was in disbelief that such a small thing like $2 could cost her son his life. She spoke through tears, saying that the knife stabbed her son straight through the heart.

“The homeless guy wanted more, He [her son] died because of $2. I can’t believe he’s gone. He was never a kid of the streets. He was a regular teenager. He was never arrested. He said he wanted to be a lawyer.”

Within a few hours, as word of the tragic death of Carl Ducasse spread in the Bronx, New York Daily News reported that family members and friends quickly rallied around the grieving parents. Carl Ducasse was the youngest of three children. Carlos Ducasse, the father of the murdered teen, also spoke to the media, speaking of the future that his son was robbed of. The pain that this father’s day will bring can only be imagined.

According to the father, the suspect in Cal Ducasse’s murder usually stays at a nearby homeless shelter. The family says that beggars have been a problem in the neighborhood before.

The people of the Bronx began to honor the life of the teen who was stabbed and killed in the act of kindness, setting up a small memorial outside of the home of the teenager soon after his death. The memorial consisted of a variety of colored and lit candles.

Thus far there has been no reports that the New York City Police Department has apprehended the suspect. However, the investigation continues.
