Kris Jenner And O.J. Simpson: Inside Their Complicated Relationship

Kris Jenner has not yet commented on reports that O.J. Simpson is willing to take a paternity test to see if her daughter, Khloe Kardashian, is his child, but the former wife of Robert Kardashian undoubtedly has an opinion on The Daily Mail’s latest report on the subject.

According to the British tabloid site, Simpson says he will consent to a mouth swab, but he wants Khloe to “show him a little respect” and stop by the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada, where he is currently serving a sentence for armed robbery. Former Lovelock prison guard Jeffrey Felix claims the facility has given permission for the test after previously revealing that Khloe, 31, begged Simpson to take a paternity test so she could put the issue of her paternity to rest.

Khloe Kardashian is the third child of Kris Jenner and the late Robert Kardashian, a lawyer who was part of O.J. Simpson’s legal team for his high-profile murder trial.

But Robert’s ex-wives, Jan Ashley and Ellen Kardashian, previously told a tabloid that Khloe isn’t the biological child of Robert and Kris, and in an interview with In Touch weekly, Simpson’s longtime manager, Norman Pardo, speculated that Khloe could be O.J.’s child, and even revealed that the former NFL star “giggles” whenever the subject of Khloe’s paternity is brought up.

“It’s all going to come out sooner or later,” Pardo said. “Khloe could be O.J.’s kid. They all took their vacations together. There was a lot of partying going on back then. Kris cheated on Robert — she was known for having a good time.”

In her 2011 autobiography, Kris Jenner…And All Things Kardashian, Jenner admitted that she frequently cheated on Robert, but she denied rumors that her daughter, Khloe, was not fathered by her then-husband. And in a 2012 interview with Good Morning America, Jenner said there is no doubt that Khloe is a Kardashian.

“I have never heard such crap in my life,” Kris said. “I was there, right? I gave birth, I know who the dad was. Everything’s good. We’re all good. It’s the family joke because Khloe was blonde and not dark-haired. People just … get a life.”

Indeed, Khloe lacks her other siblings’ Armenian features, has lighter hair, and is much taller than her two sisters, Kourtney and Kim. Some people have even noted Khloe’s resemblance to O.J.’s daughter, Sydney. But Kris Jenner has long slammed the paternity stories, saying that when her third baby was born she looked identical to Robert Kardashian’s mother.

Still, there’s no denying that Kris Jenner was a close friend of O.J., so much so that her kids called the Hall of Famer “Uncle O.J.”

Kris Jenner first met O.J. Simpson when she was just 17-years-old and it was the beginning of a decades-long friendship. In an interview with People, Kris revealed that O.J. and Nicole Brown Simpson were “two of the best friends I ever had in my entire life.” For nearly two decades, the two families vacationed together and celebrated birthdays and holidays together.

“I have these vivid memories of an amazing friendship and a life that we all had together,” Kris Jenner said.

But everything changed overnight in June, 1994, when Kris woke up to find that her best friend Nicole had been murdered, and that O.J. was a suspect.

“They were my family,” Jenner said. “O.J. was like my big brother. So I not only mourned the loss of Nicole, but I mourned the loss of O.J. and that relationship.”

Kris Jenner has never admitted to having an affair with Simpson, but she prolifically wrote about her affair with Todd Waterman, a 23-year-old soccer player whom she called “Ryan” in her book.

In 2012, Waterman spilled all of the details of his long affair with Kris, which began in 1989, more than 10 years into her marriage to Robert. But Waterman revealed that he recalled O.J. calling him and warning him to stay away from Kris. He also said Kris often joked about the fact that Khloe didn’t look like the rest of her family, but he said he believed Kris’s child was the daughter of Robert.

In an interview earlier this year on The Ellen DeGeneres show, Kris Jenner revealed that Simpson tried to contact her after Nicole’s murder.

“He called me a few times. He wanted to talk, and explain how he felt,” Jenner said. “It was painful. You know, it was just every single day it was something different and it was really difficult because my ex-husband [Robert] was on one side, I was kind of on the other and the kids were stuck in the middle. It was trying to explain this to children and then O.J. had called and everybody lost so much that night.”
