Drake And French Montana Tease New ‘No Shopping’ Music Video, Promise ‘Special Tings … Coming Soon’

Drake and French Montana have seemingly confirmed rumors of a new collaborative single on Thursday after taking to Instagram to share a series of behind-the-scenes videos for the upcoming music video for Montana’s track, “No Shopping,” which is set to appear on the rapper’s highly anticipated Mac N Cheese 4 album due out August 19.

Both Drake and French Montana appeared to confirm the news Thursday evening after they took to Instagram to tease several clips and photos from the “No Shopping” video shoot, which is reportedly being filmed on-location in La Romana in the Dominican Republic, Hot New Hip Hop reports.

In one pic shared by both Drake and Montana to their respective Instagram accounts, the duo, alongside OVO producer Noah “40” Shebib, pose for pics inside their resort while a group of women can be seen hanging out in the doorway.

For his post, Montana captioned the shot with the hashtag, “#newmusicalert,” before promising fans that “special tings” are “coming soon” in addition to providing the pre-order link to his upcoming MC4 album on iTunes.

Meanwhile, Drake confirmed the title of the duo’s forthcoming “No Shopping” collaboration in the caption of his post, revealing to fans, “Pre order mc4 @frennchmontana http://smarturl.it/MC4 ‘No Shopping’ coming soon.”

Similarly, Montana also took to Snapchat to share several behind-the-scenes clips of his highly anticipated video with Drake, with one fan obtaining a brief video that shows the duo driving around the luxury resort while exchanging a few laughs.

In another video, Drake can be seen hitting golf balls into the ocean while donning a suit and flip flops, prompting fans to poke fun at the rapper’s laid-back attire on social media.

While it’s unclear when the new track and video will arrive, “No Shopping” previously garnered attention from fans back in May after Montana previewed a snippet of one of Drake’s verses from the song that seemingly took aim at Joe Budden, who dissed Drake’s performance on Views by noting that, ” ’40’ continues to progress. Drake, you do not,” XXL Magazine reports.

In response to rumors of an impending diss from Drake, Budden took to Instagram to defend his comment while noting, “First of all, it’s not a verse coming number one and if a verse do come all that means is I inspired him, like my goal was anyway.”

The news comes just weeks after French Montana confirmed the arrival of his Mac N Cheese 4 album, which is currently set to drop on August 19, in addition to making the album available for pre-order via iTunes.

While the official tracklist for the project has yet to be announced, the album will reportedly feature a total of 14 tracks including previously announced singles “Lockjaw,” featuring Kodak Black, and “Figure It Out,” featuring Kanye West. In addition, reports further suggest that guest appearances from Miguel, The LOX, Beanie Sigel, and of course, Drake, are highly likely to have made the final cut on the album, Hot New Hip Hop reports.

As for Drake, fans continue to anxiously await the arrival of the rapper’s music video for his chart-topping single, “One Dance,” which recently hit its fifth nonconsecutive week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Drake confirmed the impending arrival of the “One Dance” video back in May after he took to Instagram to congratulate the Toronto Raptors’ victory against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals with the message, “On set for ‘One Dance’ and it’s killing me that I am missing these games!!!”
