‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8: Who Is Most Likely To Save Damon And Enzo? [Spoilers]

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 will not premiere for a while. However, the season finale was so shocking that fans are still talking about it. Can Damon and Enzo be saved? If so, how will it be done, and who will be the hero? There is a lot of speculation, and some characters are more likely to save Damon and Enzo than others.

Warning: Possible TVD Season 8 spoilers are below.

During the Season 7 finale of The Vampire Diaries, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) kept his promise and saved Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham). However, nobody guessed that the creature inside the Vault would affect the vampire. Not only did it consume Damon, but Enzo (Michael Malarkey) as well.

Fast forward a few months, and there are more than 60 people missing from the west coast. Due to the disappearances, Bonnie, along with Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and Caroline Forbes (Candice King), believes Damon and Enzo are responsible.

On the Season 7 finale of The Vampire Diaries, fans saw Damon and Enzo in a warehouse with several bodies hanging from the ceiling. It appeared that the two missing vampires were out to create more havoc and chaos.

So, what is coming next and who is most likely to save Damon and Enzo in The Vampire Diaries Season 8? As previously speculated by The Inquisitr, Elena Gilbert’s voice could save Damon. Her voice is the whole reason Damon went toward the creature in the first place. Since she holds such a special place in Damon’s heart, it could be the one and only way to free Damon. However, that would mean that Bonnie would have to die, unless there is some sort of loophole that the TVD characters don’t know about.

TV Line speculated that Stefan could save Damon and Enzo. It is no secret that the younger Salvatore brother has rescued Damon several times in the past. However, with Ian Somerhalder leaving TVD, is saving Damon even possible this time?

“What we really wanted to do was give Damon a chance to act on Bad Damon again, but do it in a way that we can always forgive him for,” The Vampire Diaries writer Brian Young told TV Guide. “Season 8 is going to be rough for Damon and Enzo because bad s— is going on. But Stefan, always believing the best in his brother, believes Damon is still in there.”

TV Line also considered that Bonnie might be the hero in Season 8 of The Vampire Diaries. Even though Bonnie will be “paralyzed” by the events, she will do her best to save the people she cares about. Bonnie might feel guilty about Damon and Enzo’s predicament, even though it isn’t her fault.

“That’s going to be a big thing for Bonnie next year: How does she deal with this new chapter of her life? She’s lost the two people she cares about the most and it’s going to be tough,” Young said about Kat Graham’s character. “But Bonnie is strong and so her rallying and finding the strength and really pushing forward with it is going to be a delight to watch.”

It was reported that Kat Graham is leaving TVD after Season 8, just like Ian Somerhalder. Could she die trying to save Damon and Enzo? Or will Bonnie Bonnett be successful and exit The Vampire Diaries another way?

What do you think is going to happen when TVD returns to The CW network? What exactly is the monster that was in the Vault? Can Damon and Enzo be saved? Who do you think is most likely to save Ian Somerhalder and Michael Malarkey’s characters when The Vampire Diaries Season 8 airs new episodes?
