The Rock For President: Dwayne Johnson Isn't Ruling Out A Run For The White House

As the world prepares for the upcoming presidential election, many Americans are not entirely sure they want to vote for any of the candidates running. Some are hoping that Bernie Sanders will run as an independent against Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton to give them another option. Those are the names that are in it for this year, but what if a charismatic, athletic, educated, and very popular former wrestler ran for president?

That could very well happen if you smell what The Rock is cooking.

Dwayne Johnson has done so many things in his life, and he's been extremely successful at all of them. From the football field to the wrestling ring to the big screen, Johnson has gone to the top and shown that he's capable of doing anything he sets out to accomplish.

But could he do it in the political arena?

[Image via WWE]While his acting career is taking off in huge ways right now, there is always the future to think about, and Johnson is already doing just that. The 44-year-old has given some thought as to what he could do in his life now that he has moved on from the persona of the "The Rock" and back into Dwayne Johnson.

Speaking with British GQ, it's going to be acting for now, but the thought of running for political office has crossed his mind.

"I'll be honest, I haven't ruled politics out. I'm not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can't deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring. And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people's lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first."
No one can say that he has no ambition as he's already done so much in life but still has a lot of other aspirations before even contemplating a political career.

Some people do think that if voters are willing to elect Donald Trump into the office of president, then they'd be willing to vote anyone in. Then again, it's not like The Rock...err, Dwayne Johnson doesn't have the right mindset, the intelligence, the ambition, and the backing to get elected into office and deserve his spot.

Could anyone really resist that smile?

Dwayne Johnson is registered as a Republican and has appeared at the Republican convention in the past. He did it more so to generate votes and boost registration so people will get out there and cast their ballots to make things truly count.

It's not known what party he would run under, but then again, it's far too early to tell. At this point, it's all speculation that he'd even run for president, but when he sets his mind to something, it's a sure sign that he will try it.

Dwayne Johnson is as successful as a human being could possibly be, and he's done it in the worlds of athletics and entertainment. It's not that he's greedy, but he simply loves living life to the fullest and wants to get the most out of it that he can. If he were to decide to run for president one day, it's not hard to imagine that he'd have a really good shot at getting elected into office. The Rock could very well lay the smackdown on anyone trying to oppose his ways and his laws.
