Every year on Big Brother, the new houseguests get put through the ringer that comes along with being a member of the home. Big Brother 18 will be no exception as the competitors go after the $500,000 prize and hope to be the last one standing. One other thing that is not going to change is “the twist” that always comes with being a part of the show, and this year could see the cast end up seeing the Coaches twist that appeared in Season 14.
Please let it be known that there are possible spoilers ahead for the new and upcoming season of Big Brother 18 on CBS. If you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.
Early on Tuesday, CBS decided to let the world know who would be stepping into the Big Brother house this season. The thing is, there were only 12 names revealed by CBS and they were all new cast mates for the show. That seems like too small of a cast, but it’s not very likely that the names have finished being called out just yet.

As stated by the Hollywood Reporter, it is expected that there will be a total of 16 houseguests beginning the game on June 22. This makes the long-running rumor of returning players coming back to the game seem truer than ever, but is that all?
Buddy TV has looked back at previous seasons of Big Brother and has seen some similarities to things that happened in the past. If there end up being just 16 total houseguests, it would mirror what happened on Big Brother 14 which saw the Coaches twist take place.
Along with that, it appears as if the four remaining spots will be taken over by past houseguests (veterans), and those names may now be confirmed. Apparently, the returning players and possible coaches for Big Brother 18 are:
- Audrey Middleton – Season 17
- Ian Terry – Season 14
- Vanessa Rousso – Season 17
- Derrick Levasseur – Season 16

The really interesting thing about those four names is that it includes two past winners in Terry and Levasseur. Still, that’s exactly how things were in Season 14 when Dan Gheesling and Mike “Boogie” Malin came back to be coaches.
Just Jared has confirmed that CBS will be announcing some new twists during the season premiere event, and that is when the other four houseguests are expected to join on the fun. It would not be unlike Big Brother to also introduce more twists as the season goes on and really mess with the houseguests’ heads.
Oh, and Reality Blurred says that the Coaches twist from Season 14 was a bit of a debacle and totally unfair, but CBS and Big Brother have figured out ways to rectify that this time.
Big Brother 18 is going to be the most dramatic one yet, but that is something they say every single year when the CBS show is coming back on the air. Being introduced to the houseguests today is one step closer to the June 22 season premiere, but so much is still left untold. With some past names returning for another run at the money, the Coaches twist could become a part of the chaos, but fans will have to wait for more spoilers to come out before truly knowing.
