Ed Sheeran Accused Of Stealing Music And Prince Harry’s Looks

Ed Sheeran has been mistaken for Prince Harry, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. And not just by anybody, but by Margot Robbie herself. The incident happened during a Christmas party last year.

Robbie, who is best known for her roles in Suicide Squad and The Wolf of Wall Street, revealed the news in her interview with The Sun. So it appears that the 25-year-old actress managed to spend the whole night with Prince Harry, the fifth in line to the throne, while thinking he was Ed Sheeran.

The incident took place at Suki Waterhouse’s December Christmas party, and obviously, there was a lot of drinking involved. So nobody really blames Robbie, who turns 26 next month, for the mistake. In fact, Ed Sheeran and Prince Harry can be easily mistaken by pretty much anybody.

“I thought I was hanging out with Ed Sheeran. I was thinking ‘Ed’s a really cool guy’. I’m going to take some pictures with him.”

Both Ed Sheeran and Prince Harry are redheads, British, and popular enough to be invited to a party like that. But now Robbie has a bigger problem, as everyone thinks if they join her at some party in London, they will immediately hang out with Prince Harry.

Mistaking Prince Harry for Ed Sheeran is not the only reason Robbie has made headlines by attending that party. Last year, photos of her in a hilarious photo booth from the Christmas bash surfaced on Instagram.

On the photos, The Wolf of Wall Street actress was captured alongside Prince Harry, party host Suki Waterhouse, Sienna Miller, Cara Delevingne, and Poppy Jamie. However, the photos were deleted shortly after emerging on the internet. But those who saw the pictures cannot forget the photographed celebs wearing hats and novelty glasses, and there are still a few traces of the photos available.

In fact, that’s not the first instance when someone notices the similarity between the Prince and Ed Sheeran. Prince Harry’s cousins, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, allegedly commented on how much the Prince looks like Ed Sheeran at a 2012 wedding where the “Photograph” singer was performing.

Ed Sheeran has made headlines not only for stealing Prince Harry’s looks but also for allegedly stealing music, according to the Dhaka Tribune. The 25-year-old singer is being sued for about $20 million for allegedly stealing his hit song “Photograph.”

The Grammy-winning singer is being sued by Martin Harrington, Thomas Leonardo, and HaloSongs, the duo’s publishing company, for allegedly stealing their song. They claim that Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” bears a great similarity to their song “Amazing,” which they recorded in 2009.

In fact, their song was performed by the winner of X-Factor during its 2010 season, Matt Cardle.

In their battle against Ed Sheeran, Harrington and Leonardo are being represented by Richard Busch, who represented plaintiffs in a lawsuit against Robin Thicke’s single “Blurred Lines” for allegedly stealing it.

According to the media that got their hands on the documents filed at court, the plaintiffs claims that Ed Sheeran song’s similarities reach “the very essence” of their Amazing song.

“The similarities go beyond substantial, which is sufficient to establish copyright infringement, and are in fact striking.”

In fact, the plaintiffs also saw similarities in lyrics, Ed Sheeran’s vocal style, the melody, and rhythm. The plaintiffs claim “Photograph” was copied from “Amazing” and want about $20 million in damages.

They also claim that Ed Sheeran has received great profits from the song, estimating the total sum to be over $20 million. Apart from damages, HaloSongs is also seeking a running royalty. Neither the “Photograph” singer nor his reps have commented on the lawsuit yet.
