‘Big Brother 18’ Cast Announced Today, ‘BB18’ Schedule Starts This Weekend

Big Brother 18 cast interviews come out on Tuesday, June 14. The full BB18 cast may not get revealed if there are twists yet to come, but CBS has announced that the interviews of new cast members will hit the net at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET. As the Big Brother Twitter feed stated, the cast interviews going public got delayed due to what took place in Orlando over the weekend. Despite getting postponed, the BB18 cast announcement still has social media buzzing.

The original advertisements stated that former houseguest Jeff Schroeder would be conducting the interviews on the live feeds. It hasn’t been made clear how they will be revealed, but it is very likely that most of the BB18 cast will get revealed at the same time. It’s a strategy by CBS and show producers to get people signed up for the live feeds, as Big Brother 18 is just about to begin. The live feeds for BB18 (inside the house) won’t get turned on until roughly 10 p.m. PT on the night of Thursday, June 23.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there are still a lot of Big Brother 18 rumors about the cast, with many blogs staking claims to knowing their identities already. Although none of them have been confirmed, Ian Terry from Big Brother 14, Derrick Levasseur from Big Brother 16, Vanessa Rousso from Big Brother 17, and Audrey Middleton from Big Brother 17 were suggested as returning houseguests. Terry and Levasseur have been active on social media in the past two days, though, likely proving they won’t be entering the BB18 house.

The Big Brother 18 cast has already been sequestered by show producers, meaning they are no longer in contact with family, friends, or the outside world. This is typically done at a hotel, where the houseguests are also kept from contact with each other. Once producers have gone over the rules and policies of the show with each new houseguest, they will enter the BB18 game over the weekend. The most likely scenario is for the Big Brother 18 season to begin on Saturday, June 18.

The summer 2016 season premiere doesn’t air until Wednesday, June 22 at 8 p.m. PT/ET. It’s a two-hour episode, giving producers an opportunity to explain any potential twists and turns to viewers. It also gives the show a lot of extra time to introduce the new BB18 cast and the themes for this upcoming summer. CBS is following up the season premiere with a second episode on Thursday, June 23 at 9 p.m. PT/ET. The first two episodes won’t be live, but will be aired using footage obtained in the first few days that the BB18 cast is in the house.

For fans who don’t want to miss out on the Big Brother 18 cast reveal, there is still time to sign up for the CBS All Access live feeds. The live feeds show what is going on inside the house outside of the normal CBS episodes. The After Dark episodes on Pop will fill in some of the other missing pieces, but all die-hard Big Brother fans subscribe to the live feeds in order to not miss anything about the show. It also makes those fans the first to know about any new Big Brother 18 rumors before everyone else on social media.

Once the live feeds have posted the new cast interviews, it is likely that the main CBS site for the show will also have all the information. That will all take place at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 14. Then the official countdown begins until fans can watch the first episode of Big Brother 18 on Wednesday, June 22. Will the cast reveal put an end to all the BB18 rumors on social media, or will show producers hold something back to continue to create buzz about summer 2016?
