Carole Radziwill On ‘RHONY’ Co-Star: ‘I Feel A Bit Sad For Luann’

Carole Radziwill had told Dorinda Medley that she didn’t want to be under the same roof as Luann de Lesseps during the trip to the Berkshires. Carole told her co-star this prior to the trip during an episode of The Real Housewives of New York, but Medley was convinced that she had told her friend that Luann would be there. So when Carole showed up at the Berkshires, she immediately regretted coming and was thinking about going home.

Once the drama started, one can imagine that Radziwill would want to leave and go home. In her blog for the show, Radziwill reveals that she should have stayed at home in New York alongside Sonja Morgan.

According to a new Bravo report, Carole Radziwill is now revealing that she didn’t want to stay in the Berkshires with the ladies after learning that Luann was present. The two ladies had briefly talked at Bethenny’s BBQ in the Hamptons during the fall party she hosted, and she hadn’t really talked to her before that. Last year, Luann called Radziwill a pedophile for dating Adam Kenworthy, who just turned 31. Radziwill couldn’t understand why Luann couldn’t just be supportive of her, as she had found love. Last year, de Lesseps had very excuse in the book.

“I didn’t want to go to the Berkshires. I wasn’t sure who would be there and frankly I had only spoken to Luann once in the past eight months (at Bethenny’s BBQ), and it didn’t go very well. Never mind any sort of apology, she didn’t even appear sorry for anything she’d said and even repeated the same BS about Adam and I. Again, to my face. Some of which you didn’t see. That explains a little why I’d rather not bump into her,” Carole Radziwill explains on her blog, revealing that she has yet to get an apology from the Countess that really means something.

When de Lesseps was texting her apology to Radziwill, she was laughing with Ramona Singer, as she was texting her co-star. It is clear that she wasn’t sorry for her behavior as she was laughing while she was writing her apology text. Plus, in the same breath, she wrote another text message to Bethenny Frankel, apologizing for taking credit for the Skinnygirl Margarita. Even though some viewers felt bad for the Countess for having her sex life and her promiscuous ways being exposed on The Real Housewives of New York, Carole Radziwill actually feels sad on her co-star’s behalf on this episode because of the way she handled herself.

“I feel a bit sad for Luann in this episode, because I can see in reality what I couldn’t see in real life. She’s a decent woman trapped in an idea of who she should be. A lady who does this. A woman who likes that….She is well practiced at ignoring and or denying information that conflicts with her existing belief about herself. I am a girls-girl, I live by a girls-code. I don’t date younger men. It’s how she can believe that she will teach Sonja to drink in moderation and be more selective with men while holding a gin and tonic in her right hand and parading men through the townhouse with her left,” Carole Radziwill explains on her blog, hinting that she has no plans of making peace with her co-star, who she feels can’t even be herself.

What do you think of Carole Radziwill’s blog for this week’s episode? Are you surprised that Carole thinks that the Countess is trying to fake who she is?
