Nia Frazier Hangs Out With ‘Dance Moms’ Co-Stars, Alum Maddie Ziegler Amid Departure Rumors

Dance Moms star Nia Sioux Frazier has been rumored to leave the hit Lifetime reality series after she landed a part in the off-Broadway show, Trip of Love. Following the departure of Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler, multiple reports claimed that JoJo Siwa and Sioux would soon be the next ones to leave.

According to Parent Herald, Dance Moms may end up getting cancelled after Season 6. Although Abby Lee Miller has been training Brynn Rumfallo to be the “next Maddie,” it was said that the show might not survive without the Zieglers. With news that some of the ALDC elite, including JoJo Siwa and Nia Sioux, are pursuing other opportunities, the publication speculated that it would only be a matter of time before Lifetime pulls the plug on the show.

Playbill reported that Frazier would be joining the cast of the off-Broadway show, Trip of Love, in July. The dancer shared that it has always been her dream to be part of a play even if it means that she would need to move to New York, with her mom Holly.

“I can’t wait to move to NY with my mom this month and then hit the stage in July! This is going to be the best summer ever!”

Trip of Love brings the 60’s to life with some of the decade’s biggest hits including “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Born To Be Wild,” “California Dreamin’,” “I Saw Her Standing There,” “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’,” “White Rabbit,” “You Don’t Own Me” among others.

Apart from Trip of Love, Nia Sioux Frazier will also be starring in a new feature film. The reality star told Bustle that she had been busy juggling her other commitments aside from Dance Moms. Nia shared that she attends voice and acting lessons every single week to prepare for the role.

While some may say that she has limited experience when it comes to acting, Nia said that being a dancer actually helped her master some of the acting techniques quite easily.

“It’s actually not that hard, because you’re acting while you’re dancing, so it helps to be a dancer because you can bring that to acting and those emotions into words,” she explained.

In spite of her busy schedule, Nia Sioux Frazier shared that she still manages to stay in touch with her Dance Moms co-stars 24/7. Although Maddie and Mackenzie left the show, Nia said that she still talks to them all the time.

“We text each other every single day. Even on our days off we see each other.”

In a video uploaded on Lifetime’s official YouTube page, Nia Sioux Frazier, along with other ALDC members JoJo Siwa, Kendall Vertes, Kalani Hilliker, and Brynn Rumfallo, wished the Zieglers the best of luck in the next chapter of their lives. They all said that ALDC will not be the same without the Zieglers. Although they are definitely going to miss them, as well as their mom Melissa Gisoni, they cannot wait to see what they are going to do next.

“Can’t wait to see what you’re going to do, and you’re gonna do amazing things. This team is gonna be so different without you,” Frazier said.

In another clip, via Teen Vogue, Frazier cannot help but feel emotional, looking back at how far they have all come since the first season of Dance Moms.

“I’m going to miss you guys so much. I mean, we started this team together since we were itty bitty babies, and we just grew up together.”
