‘Days Of Our Lives’: Shady Hills Disaster, Abigail Injured, Billy Flynn Reveals Chad’s Wife Is Getting Worse [Spoilers]
Days of Our Lives fans already know Kate Mansi has left the NBC soap opera. Instead of killing Abigail off or having her leave Salem, Marci Miller was selected to take Mansi’s place. Viewers wondered how the long-running series would explain Abigail’s different appearance.
DOOL spoilers reveal just how that is going to be explained. It turns out there is going to be a disaster at Shady Hills, the facility that is supposed to be treating Abigail for her hallucinations. Not only was there a tragic accident, but Abigail gets injured. Actor Billy Flynn reveals that Chad DiMera’s wife is not getting better, but worse.

Abigail had a difficult time coping with what Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) did to her. Even though she was rescued and her baby was found safe, Kate Mansi’s character began falling apart. Once Ben escaped from the mental institution, Abigail began having hallucinations of Ben. Shortly after “Chabby” were married on Days of Our Lives, Abby had to be admitted to a psychiatric facility to get help.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Chad isn’t sure Kate Mansi’s character is getting the best treatment. The last time he saw Abigail, she ran off and completely cut off contact with her entire family, including her infant son.
It doesn’t look like things are going to get better for “Chabby” on Days of Our Lives anytime soon. According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Chad DiMera finds out a fire broke out at Shady Hills, and Abigail was hurt in the blaze. He gets so angry about the fire that he threatens to buy Shady Hills and even tear it down. However, he will be in for a shock later when he finds out how the blaze began.
As for Abigail’s condition, the Days Of Our Lives character had to undergo surgery for severe burns. When Chad sees his wife, there are bandages covering her face. In fact, her entire face is covered except for small openings for her mouth, nose and eyes.
“Chad sees Abigail and none of his anger about Shady Hills matters anymore,” Billy Flynn told Soap Opera Digest. “Nothing matter except Abigail. The only thing Chad wants to do is heal his wife.”
Unfortunately, Chad and Abigail are going to continue with their struggle. Abigail is still talking about seeing Ben Weston. Chad realizes his wife is not getting better, but worse. Then, he finds out what started the fire, which was only described as Chad being thrown a “curve ball.”
She Knows reported that future DOOL spoilers include Abigail vanishing from Shady Hills. Chad tries to search for his wife and turns to Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) for help. However, does Andre know more than anyone realizes? That is exactly what was teased in the Days of Our Lives spoiler report. However, how much does Andre DiMera know and why would he have information about Abigail? Days of Our Lives fans will have to keep watching the long-running soap opera on NBC to find out.
