Jennifer Aniston’s Trainer Tells All, How To Get Your Body In Shape In 3 Steps

It’s no secret that Jennifer Aniston has got one fit physique that makes people the world over wonder what it is she does and what her secret weapon is to achieve her sculpted and trim figure. Well, her secret is not a “what” but a “who,” Mandy Ingber, Aniston’s trainer who also helps numerous other celebrities, is that weapon, and she’s revealed secrets for all to know.

A fitness and wellness expert as well as a New York Times bestselling author, Ingber is Aniston’s yoga instructor, and she also keeps stars such as Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Beckinsale looking lean.

The fitness guru spoke about Ansiton’s fit bod but also makes note of the fact the Jen is simply healthy all-around, which makes her stand out.

WTOP Washington News shares Inger’s words.

“Jennifer Aniston does, of course, have an incredible body, but I think part of what people respond to with her is that she seems very comfortable in her own skin; she seems healthy and holistic. Obviously that comes from more than just being active.”

Ingber then offered tips that can help anyone achieve the fitness level and attitude that Aniston exudes. The summer is fast approaching, and the fitness expert’s words are certainly welcome for those trying to trim down or firm up.

The logical first tip involves simply moving your body every day, as Ingber notes.

“It doesn’t have to be really intense exercise. It could be something like taking a walk, a yoga practice, or something a little more active like a spinning class or hiking.”

As the publication notes, a full hour of spare time in a day is often hard to find when schedules are hectic. However, breaking up the hour throughout the day is just as beneficial. Taking 20 minutes here and 30 minutes there for movement at different points throughout the busy work day will help achieve the same results. “even if it’s just walking around the block,” Ingber said.

Holding yourself accountable and ensuring to follow through on carving out that run or bicycle ride is also important.

“I really recommend planning it and making a date, just like one of the celebrities would.”

Ingber then notes that sitting still can actually be a big part of finding overall health, especially if that stillness is “intentional.”

“I know that can seem very daunting at times to people — to incorporate meditation into their life, but even if it’s just five minutes a day of sitting down … and focusing on your breath, because meditation is really just simple, mindful breathing.”

Meditation may be new to some, so to start off, simply find an area that is quiet and begin paying attention to breathing. Breathing in and out should be all that crosses your mind. Five minutes of this should leave anyone feeling more relaxed and refreshed.

Much like the diet that Jennifer Aniston has shared she follows, Ingber follows a similar 80/20 rule, which is made up of 80 percent whole foods and 20 percent treats for herself.

The publication relays the importance of not limiting ourselves, based on Ingber’s words.

“When it comes to food, the focus shouldn’t be on limitations. Ingber says it should be on nourishing your body and filling it with the nutrition it needs to maintain an active lifestyle. Because we’re looking for just finding a way to give ourselves support, and what you put in your body really does matter”

Although yoga is Aniston’s go-to form of exercise apart from her cardio, unfortunately, as Jen shares with Elle, she hasn’t been able to do yoga for a time due to an injury.

“I have a hip flexor injury. I can’t do yoga. I do 20-30 minutes of cardio and then an hour with barre method. I’ve been in constant pain for three weeks straight. The kind where you’re not sure you’ll walk again!”
